I just finished watching X-Men: First Class again last night, and it is still my favorite X-Men film. The rumor mill in the film industry says that there will most likely be a sequel, which I think would be great. I am curious which x-characters (besides Wolverine) might appear in the sequel? Who would you like to see appear in the movie? Wolvie is not an option because he has his own film series. Plus hopefully the Wolverine sequel will be good and help ease the horror of the first Wolvie film? I personally would like to see Lorna Dane in the X-Men: FC sequel, and maybe Sunfire? |

In terms of introducing new mutants into the mix, there are good characters I like that would be nice to see onscreen. I refer to the likes of Cannonball, Cecilia Reyes and Marrow; but the only X-character I really love that hasn't yet made it to the big screen is Maggott. Hey, if Darwin can make it to the movies then so can Maggott. Although the more I think about it, Marrow could be an absolutely amazing visual; and the 'Wolverine' of X-MEN: FIRST CLASS 2. Matthew Vaughn has stated there will only be one new major character in the sequel. I can see that perhaps being Cable. I'm not a huge fan of the character, but can see how he could make an interesting counter-point to both Magneto and Xavier. Plus screen-writers of FIRST CLASS Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz have expressed a desire to see Cable in the sequel, and having been involved with two great Marvel movies I hope they are retained for the follow-up. |

Cannonball would be great to see onscreen. Mister Sinister would be my villian of choice for the sequel. A New Mutants film would be awesome. If you look at the Magneto/Xavier relationship at the end of the film there is not a complete and total breakdown of their friendship just yet. At least not the to the level of tension and animosity that is depicted between the two men in the first three movies. So a viewer can amuse that in the period of time between the end of X-Men: First Class and X-Men 1 there had to be a number of events that happened to further destroy their relationship. One can assume like in the comics there were probably periods of reconcilation between Charles and Erik because we see them together when they first meet Jean. Possibly because Jean was so powerful as a child they agreed to a temporary truce to go visit her? The same can be said the friendship between Raven and Charles. At the end of X-Men: First Class she reluctantly leaves Charles to go with Erik and then in X-Men 1 she actively causes Charles great harm. I assume during the period in between Charles must have done something to really really piss Raven off. Edited by Templedog, Jan 21 2012, 07:48 AM.

Juggernaut was done all kinds of wrong in X-Men 3. I would love to see him brought to the screen right. Nathaniel Essex would be great to see as a major villain, so I agree with TD on that one. How about seeing the sentinels? Anyone interested in En Sabah Nur? |

Personally I really really dislike Apocalypse. If he appeared on film I think he would need a major re-working. All the press that I have seen has indicated that the next two films will still take place in the late 1960s and early 1970s, which I personally love. The Sentinels did not get a proper showing in X-Men 3, so if the Sentinels, Larry and Bolvar Trask were in the next movie(s) it would be awesome, especially if it was a similar story-line to the one told in Uncanny X-Men #56-59. |

Yeah, Apocalypse might be too heavy of a storyline for the next two films. But I hope Cable doesn't show up in these films either without Apocalypse being in them. I'd be plenty happy with Sinster, and maybe seeing Sunfire with the X-Men. |

I actually would like to see a version of X-Men #1 as the sequel. Magneto making a first strike against a military base and the X-Men having to stop him. Build him and his new Brotherhood up some and have the X-Men be outclassed but still victorious. As to who to add (since he really only had Havok, Beast and Banshee at the end of the comic), I'd go for pretty much the whole line up of the New Mutants. They kind of were the third class. Have at least Cannonball, Rahne, Sunspot and Dani. Then for a twist, I'd throw in Lorna with a daughter/father thing for Magneto, but have her fall for Havok as expected and have a Romeo and Juliet thing until she betrays her dad and his plans and turns for the X-Men. |

Doing a variation on X-Men #1 would be cool, especially since the makers of the film seem to want to stick to a "silver-age" type of era/feel. Another villian I would enjoy seeing on screen would be Mesmero. |
