I was just wondering what kind of movies Logan likes to watch? If I remember correctly he has quoted "Raider's of the Lost Ark" and I think "Star Wars" in the past. If you think about it...Logan enjoying these films makes a bit of sense, because they are based on the "Saturday afternoon serial cliff-hanger" films that were popular back in the 30s and 40s. We already know that Logan likes stories of adventure based on his fondness for the books that Smitty gave to him. So I assume that Logan back in the 30s and 40s would have been drawn to these kind of movies. |

I'm sure Logan said he liked Clint Eastwood westerns during Brian K. Vaughan's tenure on ULTIMATE X-MEN. |

I bet he liked the ones where Clint had muttonchops and a cigar.

Logan specifically mentions the John Wayne film, "Rio Bravo" to Melita in "Wolverine: Weapon X" #10. I also recall in some series where Wolverine quotes (with modifications) almost the entire "So, do you feel lucky, punk?" monologue from "Dirty Harry." Maybe some of you here know the exact issue and incident and who he was saying this to. Anyway, he obviously likes Westerns. He's been shown reading Louis L'Amour books. |

Excellent movie, but I prefer "The Good, the Bad, the Ugly." I also seem to recall Wolverine mentioning Humphrey Bogart, So he might be a fan. Edited by Templedog, Jan 9 2012, 12:16 AM.

Templedog - "I also seem to recall Wolverine mentioning Humphrey Bogart, So he might be a fan." Yes, you're right! In the one-shot, "Killing," it opens with Logan leaving a theater featuring a Bogart film festival, and Logan thinking about how 'real' Bogart seems, and how he'd like to talk to him because of that quality Bogart projects. |

Thanks, Congo Jack, for the response on the "Dirty Harry" quote! "Uncanny X-Men #133" Yeah, I think "back in the day," Eastwood could have made as good a Logan as Jackman - perhaps, even better! Eastwood really gets a crazy -mad glint in his eyes in a face-off. Hey...what about Eastwood NOW as "Old Man Logan?" He could direct it, too!! |
