I've finished another Wolvie statue. This one's called Berserker Wolverine. Went better than the last one, no real sculpting to do! I only made him have bigger hair.

It was fun mixing up the right brown for the costume. In the comics and on other statues this brown varies so much, from very red to chocolate. I wanted red in it. The color I was seeking a friend and I named "June-bug brown". It looked redder before all the shading was added.

Thank you PDA. The hair was fun too. I like big hair on Wolverine!

In regards to the Brown color in Wolverine's costume I remember when the uniform first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #140 I thought it was orange and red. Cool statue though. :)

:wolveicon: The costume colors have varied so much. Some of the painted statues on the market have an almost black look to the brown. In the comic with Logan fighting Shingen it was very red and the yellow was tan. I finally decided to make it the brown that I liked, since there seems to be no set, definite color, like the blue and yellow costume has.

I guess I'm an old fart, I have never heard of "dope" meaning awesome! Thank you Gorvar, and thank you Templedog!

I have 2 more statues arriving in the mail. One is a comissioned Jubilee, the other Logan standing on top of a dead grizzly bear.

Fun times ahead! :boogie2:

Love the statue. I'm pretty sure the first apperance of this costume was in Uncanny X-Men 139. Looks great!

Yeah my bad, I know the brown costume showed up in #139, but the first time I saw it was in issue #140.
