Yep, not that I mind her stuff but she was a popular writer (in her area) before she approached Marvel and they gave her a shot. Basically Marvel seems to think that anyone who writes books automatically gives some prestige to the comic industry by working for them. |

Think DC started it with Jodi Pidoult with Wonder woman. Can't stand wonder woman, so can't comment on her as a comic writer. |

I've not read Liu's novels (which appear to be popular for their type), but she had (probably still does) a Jubilee/Wolverine fansite that until recently had a lot of fanfic on it. A few months before it was announced that she would be working with Daniel Way for Marvel, she closed down the fanfic portion of her site. I can never forgive her for her complicity in writing for Daken with Way. Aaarrrgghh!!!! |

Well to be fair if Marvel offered me a job working in comics but the caveat was working with Way, I'd probably do it. After all it's a way to get your foot in the door if nothing else. |

Can't quibble with that. After all, she's writing X-23 now and didn't she write a Black Widow story? From interviews she did with Way back during "Dark Wolverine", it appears that she was really gung-ho on Daken, but what else was she gonna say under those circumstances? I wonder what she really thinks of the character, and if she's really glad to be away from Daken now. |

Liu's novel X Men Dark Mirror was good. I like it the best out of the handful of novels that are out about him. In it several of the X Men have their bodies switched, traded, and Wolverine's body is taken over by this ultra-tough, very savage woman. There's a scene with her (as Logan), and Jubilee that is so awful and heartbreaking I will never forget it! |

I always heard that Dark Mirror was a good book. |

Didn't read anything Liu wrote in novel form. Basically heard most of her stuff was like supernatural romance books anyway. |

Only one woman i think is perfect for Logan: Betsy. She is a warrior like him. She is strong and indipendent. She is his right hand in X-Force. And most important like him, she passed through hell (if you have read Remender's incredible Uncanny X-Force run you know what i mean). So you understand my enthusiasm when i saw this preview: http://www.comicbookresources.com/prev_img.php?pid=12271&pg=4 I don't know where Remender will go with his story but if at the end he will bring Logan and Betsy together i will consider him one of my favorite writers of all time |
