Thankfully Vamperine only last two issues.
I think I was just agast at the idea of Edward even remotely being considered cool, much less being placed even close to Wolverine in that catagory.

Every other literary character that was ever been created and ever will be created could cease to exsist at this very moment just leaving Edward and he would still be beyond lame.
Speaking as a young woman, I'm with Templedog. If you want a decent vampire, go with Anne Rice.

John Polidori wrote the Vampyre, and yes I have.

Rice's vamps are too cutesy-poo emo. Plus she went all religious and weird as well. No, you want a real vampire, read Dracula.

Agreed, Dracula is a complete bad-ass. Remember his character was based on a Romanian conqueror.

Who liked to put people on stakes. Actually a pretty interesting read if you ever get into the real history of Vlad.

I wrote my college Thesis on Dracula way back when.

The novel or the historical basis?

My respect for both of you just shot through the roof.

Dracula is epic. :)

Vampires as romantic interests for teenage girls were interesting with Buffy because it didn't take itself too seriously, but it'd cut it off flat there.

I actually got into Anne Rice, because Interview with a vampire was chosen as a comparasion with the novel dracula. While I enjoyed both, I prefered Anne Rice, mainly because I enjoyed the historical takes and elements on the vampire's history. That said, her later novels were overall religious, so fair comment to jrpbsp.
SOrry, sniktsnakt never could stand buffy.
