X-Men Chronologist

I remember an old X-Men story where Kitty gives the teenage Illyana a tur of the X-Mansion. During the tour they visit Logan's bedroom and see that it is decorated in a sort of elegant japanese motif. Kitty comments that it is pretty cool until you step on a discarded beer can. Then again in Giant Sized X-Men #3 Thunderbird sneaks into Logan's bedroom and notices that the discard beer cans while at first glance are seemingly scattered at random but upon closer examination are arranged in a definite pattern. I personally think Logan does this intentionally, because I cannot imagine him being such a slob. |

Plays Logan on TV!
|
Sure, sure. I can totally see Logan being overly paranoid about people getting past his senses. If he doesn't hear them or smell them coming in when he's sleeping, he might hear them kick over one of the beer cans. |

I could also see it be a former spy tactic, like James Bond uses to see if anyone has been in his room when he is not there. |

New Avenger

i like his old bedroom..it's way better than what was shown during manifest destiny where all he brought while moving was a box..and then in wolverine #1 he stayed in an apartment with nothing more than a book shelf.. |

Secret Agent

Definately makes sense for it to be delibrate, and it's less deadly than Wraith's methods of protecting his home. |

Was it Giant-sized X-Men #11 (featuring Horde as the villain)? - Logan comes back to the mansion drunk, because it was supposed to be the anniversary of his wedding to Mariko that fell through. Anyway, he goes to his room, drops his boots, hat, and clothes all around, takes a shower and comes out to meditate in front of a perfectly serene Japanese shrine to Mariko. After all the years of military training - forgotten or not - I cannot see Logan as a slob. His bed is probably made up with "hospital corners." I agree that the beer cans are probably a deliberate tactic, and probably also comes from his commando training. |

I can see it as both actually. He's spent a lot of time alone so he could be messy. I remember one issue where we see his room and it's been pretty trashed with claw marks and such. He's definitely not any sort of obsessively neat person. But using his tendency to drink in bed and drop the cans, I can certainly get that. It appeals to his pragmatic nature. |
