It is a pretty common mascot. I know a couple schools around here have it since I see them on bumper stickers and such. |

I was just surprised how many kids here didn't even know what a wolverine was . . . . But I think that was one of the first things I taught them.

I had a picture of a wolverine (the animal) on my wall and they didn't recognize it, and when I called it a wolverine they gave me a funny look. I'd bet more people recognized the name from the character than the animal.

Well wolverines don't look like much in a picture. You'd expect them to be bigger and more obviously vicious based on their reputation. |
