I just watched the 2005 version of King Kong and really enjoyed it as always. A good number of people that I know of complain that the film is too long. I personally do not mind the movie's length because it is such a lavish production and tells the story so fully that I do not feel cheated at the end.

I, for one like long movies that tell a detailed story as long as it keeps me entertained. Of course I am also the the same guy who would happily sit through 6+ hour long trilogy of X-Men films of the Dark Phoenix saga. On the basis that the Dark Phoenix Saga was taken directly from the comic page for page, panel for panel, and word for word.

I dont mind long movies either, in fact sometimes I wished they left in the deleted scenes and sub plots.

Same here. Long movies are awesome. Dark Phoenix Saga in film form? That would be so epic it'd almost divide by zero, thus negating existence.

My only complaint with long films is that I have to miss part of them when I run to the restroom. Stupid giant movie sodas.....

Yeah the whole bastardization of the Dark Phoenix Saga in X-Men 3 completely cheated us out of the Wolverine sewer scene from the comics.

I have switched to drinking water at the movies, and it still makes no difference, because I still end up in the bathroom about 3/4 of the way through the film.
