i just found out that wizard #115 had something like this..front page says classic vs. ultimate marvel..though i'm not sure what it's about, i just saw the cover. |

Not really surprising, I'm sure there have been plenty of reports and looks comparing the two in lots of different ways. For a while Ultimate was the big up and comer after all and people were saying it could replace 616. |

Yeah it was edgy and different takes on things that people responded to. you weren't really sure what was going to happen because the characters were very different and complex. But it became hard to stay different and they began to rehash stories and make the characters more and more like their 616 counterparts and it tanked. Their big slaughterfest was meant to show it was still edgy and anything could happen but it just annoyed me more and I haven't seen a big spike in sales either |
