Hello there. Lemme start with declaring my admiration for this site. Love how you've chronicled so much and pointed out the various inconsistencies in wolverine related books. I'm an avid comic book fan, started with the Phantom books and moved on to DC, Marvel, Image and a few other Indie releases. I've always loved dark characters. Growing up with the campy feel of The Phantom, Wolverine was sorta new to me. He was the anti-hero that did what needed to be done. I didn't like him much in the beginning but after the Sauron wolverine battle in an early Claremont Uncanny X-Men issue, he intrigued me. The Hellfire Club episode just made it so, I was officially what some would call a fanboy. Yes I love the character and yes I consider myself a fanboy because by definition I am. I'm not a moronic fanboy though and won't go spouting crap about how Wolverine can beat Galactus (oh you should hear what some people say). I haven't had much of a chance to catch up with the latest releases and explore the rest of the marvel universe. Living in Fiji meant giving up comics since the only way I could get them was on my regular trips to the states. Now that I'm in Auckland, NZ, I've decided to try and get back into the comic book scene. Hope I can contribute to the discussions here. Nav |

Suppose I still am for pure nostalgia. I haven't had a chance to read much. Definitely keen on getting some of the older issues, if at all possible. |
