Doom stood motionless as the rain hit his cloak and armoured arms hard. He hated meeting Sinister, he didn’t trust him and he knew it was likewise. Already the ruler of Latveria had 12 different plans to exterminate Sinister at any given time, problem was he did not know where Sinister was most of the time. What he hated more was Sinister was the one who contacted Doom, not the other way around. He was the one who was supposed to be in control, it was his right to rule, not a stranger who demands a alliance. Doom looked up, in the distance his armour could spot a unknown flying vehicle heading toward the castle.
‘Milord, a incoming flying vehicle is heading your way, do we get the order to take it down?’

Doom glanced at his second in command.
‘No, but tell the Doom guard to remain on high alert.’
‘Yes milord.’ The man saluted and walked off, relaying the orders.

The ruler of Latveria stood his ground as the vehicle hovered in front of the castle, a door opening. Doom snorted as Sinister walked on the ledge from the ship, onto the stone wall of the castle.
‘Greetings Victor.’ He grinned.
‘It’s Doom to you Sinister, do not forget it.’
‘Of course, of course...’ Sinister chuckled. ‘I have the first specimens with me.’
‘Good.’ Doom let his arm slide next to his body. ‘I didn’t give you that much money without seeing any results, what did you spend it on?’
‘You rather not see-‘
‘No.’ Doom glared. ‘What did you spend my money on?’

Sinister stood in front of Doom.
‘I had to hire help, buy the resources to build this machine and of course, bribe some SHIELD agents.’
‘You certain they are not on your trail?’
‘Very certain.’ Sinister motioned to the occupants of the ship who push the captured mutants forward. Doom pushed a button on his right arm, dozens of Doombots arriving to take the mutants to the holding cells.

The two watched the silent procession go, Doom looking at the figures inside the ship stepping out.
‘Care to introduce us Sinister?’ the larger man of the group spoke up, his right arm was mechanical and it seemed to spread over his body. He seemed to be a rugged war veteran, his moustache and unshaven beard seemed to enforce that idea along with the scars.
‘Of course, Victor, meet my Marauders.’

Doom glanced over the assembled group, snorting.
‘I am yet to be impressed Sinister, what happened to our friend Kraven?’ Doom asked as if he didn’t know.
‘Kraven....had a accident.’ Sinister said. ‘But his legacy will life on, as well his role in our experiment.’
Kraven the Hunter was the only link between Doom and Sinister, and with him gone, his trust in Sinister fell to a new low. If not for the current Cyborgs they both created this partnership would’ve ended in blood by now.

‘I will supervise over the new specimens then, in the mean time I will send my Marauders back to catch more.’
Doom nodded and walked off.
The man who spoke up earlier growled, holding his hand on the pistol to his side.
‘Easy Scalphunter.’ Sinister placed his hand on Scalphunter’s arm. ‘We will deal with Doom in due time, in the mean time I want you, Riptide, Arclight, Scrambler and Vertigo to go to Westchester.’
‘Why?’ the woman who stood next to Scalphunter asked. ‘What’s in Westchester?’
‘A old friend of mine who needs escaping.’

‘What about us?’
Sinister glanced at the other, grinning. ‘We’ll go back to our first prey...’

‘Looking good so far Henry.’ Jean smiled as she walked along with a rather good looking businessman. ‘But why this form though?’
‘I believe people would least suspect this form that I am the X-man known as Beast.’ Henry corrected his glasses. ‘ And thanks to my good looks I was able to get a job at Oscorp.’
‘Wow, well done!’ Jean smiled. ‘Why didn’t you tell us this morning?’
‘Am am a enigma enwrapped in a mystery.’ Hank grinned, drinking his coffee.
‘You forgot to mention it didn’t you?’
‘No....’
‘Henry Mccoy, you’re a horrible confused professor.’ The red head smirked.
‘That I am, unfortunately.’

The crowd shrieked loudly as people stampeded towards the two X-men.
‘What is going on?’ Jean asked. ‘I cant read their minds, they’re in to much of a panic.’
‘Well, this is New York, it could range from a giant monster to-‘

Beast was interrupted as a large harpoon was thrown over them, nearly hitting a young woman. He sniffed, his eyes immediately focused on a man on a nearby rooftop, carrying a quiver of harpoons on his back. He grabbed another harpoon, it seemed to glow in his hands as he threw another one, hitting the young woman this time.
She cried out in pain, the harpoon penetrated her leg.
‘Jean!’ Henry said, putting his suitcase and coffee aside. ‘tell everyone to-‘
‘I know!’ Jean said, concentrating on everyone around them to mentally suggest to look away for a minute.

The harpoon thrower leaped down, walking to the injured girl.
‘Please, please don’t kill me.’ She whimpered, her blood forming a small puddle on the pavement.
‘I wont.’ The man said, pulling the spear out. ‘but you’ll wish I had.’

As he moved to grab her, a large trashcan hit him, sending him flying to the nearbye wall. As he looked up he saw the Beast and Marvel Girl running towards him.
‘I believe throwing spears, although very Olympian in mind, is a bit to early my friend!’ Beast shouted, punching and tackling the villain away.
Marvel girl concentrated, throwing more objects to support her blue furred friend.
‘You cannot stop the Harpoon!’ the villain shouted, trying to stab the X-man.
‘Harpoon, that is a bit on the nose isn’t it?’ Beast dodged the strikes.
‘And Beast isn’t?’ Jean asked, showing signs of fatigue.
‘Touché.’ Hank replied, throwing Harpoon away.

Jean kneeled next to the girl.
‘Don’t worry, I’m an X-man.’ She said, grabbing a bandage from her belt and wrapping it tightly around the wound where the harpoon was. She was in shock, poor girl.
Jean could barely look up as Beast flew against Jean, sending both against the pavement.
Harpoon growled, grabbing another one of his harpoons.

‘Oh dear...’ Beast muttered. As Harpoon took his aim he was struck down by a stream of stars, beating him into submission. The two X-men blinked at the young girl as she held out her hands, shooting the stream.
Harpoon fell down to one knee. Beast took his chance and slammed the lid of a trashcan on the villain’s head, ko-ing him.
‘Well....that’s one way to deal with pests.’ He panted, looking back. ‘You all right Marvel Girl?’
Jean nodded. ‘I’m fine..’ she walked over to the girl. ‘Thank you for your help miss.’
The girl nodded. ’What’s your name?’
‘Alice.’ The girl replied.
‘Good job Alice.’ Jean smiled.
‘We have to go.’ Beast pointed to the police cars heading their way. The X-men tied up Harpoon and ran off just in time as the police cars arrived.

On a rooftop above Scalphunter grinned as he saw the scene through the binoculars.
‘Did Harpoon do his job?’ his lady friend asked, holding his real arm for a bit.
‘He did Arclight....’ Scalphunter said. ‘Now we know where the X-men are hiding...’

Nicely done. I loved the banter between Harpoon and Hank. Fantastic work.

Just out of curiosity, why are the original X-Men still referring to themselves as X-Men instead of X-Force? I thought the whole idea was to distance themselves from Chuck.

Hm, yeh I never really went into it.
It's sort of the current X-force still calling themselves the X-men, but they're actually not.
i should get around calling themsleves X-force, but that title still has to be earned.

‘What do we got, Grant?’ the elderly police officer asked as walked to the holding cells.
‘A mutant, one of those nasty ones, Captain Stacy.’ The slightly younger detective replied.’ We ran some prints on him, scanned his face all over the police network.’
‘Let me guess, no leads?’

Grant opened the door which led to the corridor of the holding cells.
‘Actually, we did. Kodiak Noatak, a resident of Alaska, been posted as missing for years.’
‘Well this is a long way from Alaska...he said anything?’
‘No, he-‘

The ground shook, sending both police officers to the ground.
‘What the fu..’ Grant cursed as he got up to his feet.
‘It came from the holding cell!’ Stacy shouted as he drew hi gun, running to the holding cell which held ‘Harpoon’.

He opened the door, only to be greeted by a unconscious guard and a big gaping wall.
‘Jones, you all right?’ Grant asked, nudging the unconscious guard.
Jones coughed, waking up slowly. ‘Oh...head...’

Grant helped his colleague up. ‘What happened here Jones?’
‘I..’ Jones paused, gathering his senses. ’Somebody burst through the wall.....some bald guy....broke Harpoon out.’
‘Damnit...’ the Captain growled. ‘Call SHIELD, it’s out of our hands now...’

Scott sighed as he came back home, throwing the keys into the glass bowl on the side.
‘Home!’ he shouted as he walked to the living room where he was greeted by his girlfriend and the blue furred ‘monster’.
‘Welcome back Scott.’ She pecked him on the cheek. ‘How was the sandwich bar?’
‘Boring...’ Scott walked to the fridge, grabbing a bottle of cola. ‘The only excitement I had was one guy who ran off, leaving his sandwich behind.’

‘What did he look like?’ Jean asked.
‘Some photographer, glasses, scattered minded...’ he replied.
‘Not anyone I know.’ She said as she grabbed a few things from the fridge as well.

‘In a city with 17,990,455 inhabitants your bound to be Miss Grey....’ Hank hung upside down a push up rack, flipping a page on his book.
‘What you reading there Hank?’ Scott grinned as he poured in a glass.
‘Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.’ The Beast replied. ‘A little light reading.’

Scott straightened his red glasses. ‘Anything special happen to you two then?’
‘Nothing major.’ Hank said. ‘Just a little skirmish with this one mutant, what’s his name...?’
‘Harpoon.’ Jean answered as she made herself a sandwich with her mind. ‘Tried to kidnap this mutant girl...’
She stopped, the loafs of bread falling down on the table.
‘Jean?’ Scott asked concerned. ‘you all right?’

‘I remember him...’ she said. ‘I known him from before!’
Hank closed his novel and put his glasses away before doing a small summersault to get back on his feet. ‘How do you mean Jean?’
‘We saw him from before!’ she exclaimed. ‘He was the one who kidnapped us!’

Hank blinked.
‘You sure, I do not recall seeing or smelling him.’
The red haired woman nodded fervently. ‘Yes, yes, I remember, he was one of-‘

The building shook as a large hole appeared in the roof.
Scott blinked as he saw several figures looking down on them, among them the Harpoon.
‘Good to see you again X-men.’ Scalphunter grinned. ‘We missed you...’

Cyclops opened fire immediately, filling the gap. ‘Outside!’
Hank and Jean ran outside, their leader following shortly.
Scalphunter jumped down first, shooting at the fleeing X-men but only hit the closing door. ‘Marauders, get them!’

‘You know, we should do this more often.’
Bobby nodded, eating a hotdog with Spider-man on a rooftop, having somewhat gained control on his ice form. ‘We should...these hotdogs are BEAST!’
Spider-man blinked. ‘Beast?’
‘It’s a new word I’m trying out, shut up.’ The icy hero grinned.

‘Still think you should stick with your ice puns though, it’s what you are.’
Ice-man was about to reply as his X-belt lit up. ‘Uh-oh, trouble, got to go.’
‘I’m coming with ya, dull day.’ Spidey finished his hotdog and swung after the sliding ice-man. ‘Beast, seriously?’
‘Shut up.’

The three X-men, in their uniform, fought the Marauders on the street, beams and powers flew around like snowballs in a snowball fight.
‘Round two fur bal!’ Harpoon shouted, narrowly missing Beast with his harpoon.
‘And here hoped your sense of humour would fade in prison.’ Hank bantered, scratching the Inuit across the face.

Arclight punished the ground, making Jean tumble.
Before the villain could land another strike, Jean threw a large piece of rubble at her mentally, wailing on her with all the nearby rubble.

Cyclops dodged Scalphunter’s guns shots, firing back.
‘Who are you?!’ the leader of these X-men cried out.
‘Name’s Scalphunter.’ The Marauder grinned. ‘We’re the Marauders, here to take you abck to Latveria.’

Scott was picked up by a larger bald man. His lungs almost deflated by the sheer force the man, dubbed Blockbuster by Scalphunter, used to hold him.
‘Dissapointing.....’ Scalphunter grunted. ‘I expected more-‘

He was taken down by a rock attacked to by a rope of webbing. When he looked up he saw two new combatants entering the fray. ‘Spider-man!’
‘The one and only!’ the wallcrawler replied, punching Scalphunter in the face.
‘How many times did I save you X-peope now? Two, three, four times?’

Beast tackled Harpoon against a wall.
‘And here I thought we had a deeper relationship then mere keeping scores.’
‘Alas Beasty, it aint so.’ The webhead bantered back.

Scott slammed his head back in Blockbuster’s face, rolling away as Ice-man drop kicked him when he jumped off his ice slide.
‘You all right there boss?’ Bobby asked.
‘Fine, good timing!’ Scott used his power to slam Blockbuster against the wall. ‘Freeze him!’
Ice-man nodded, freezing the man against the wall.

Arclight slammed her fist on the wall however, it crumbling thus freeing her team mate.
Jean used these debris however to attack them both.
Scalphunter aimed his weapon at Marvel Girl, but was obscured by Spider-man webbing in his face. ‘Damnit wallcrawler!’
‘Oh the cursing, your worse then the Green Goblin on his bad day!’

Scalphunter took the webbing off, firing, but missing, the spider sensed blessed super hero.
‘Scalphunter!’ Arclight shouted, pointing above.
The leader of the marauders glared. ‘Full back, back to the ship!’

‘Spider-man, Ice-man!’ Scott shouted.
Blockbuster punched a hole in the sewer, the marauders jumping in it.
However when Blockbuster was going to jump he was wrapped in ice and webbing, falling down backwards.

Beast took a glance in the hole...but there was no trace of the Marauders.
Before he could reply however, another piece of the street exploded, a ship bursting through the pavement as it flew off.

‘Woah...’ was all Spider-man could say.
‘Wonder why they ran away...’ Jean asked.
‘I know why.’ Ice-man pointed above.

The X-men and Spider-man look up as another ship dropped down, the letters S/H/I/E/L/D emblazoned on it with a hawk as a symbol.
The ship landed as the door opened, a long red haired woman with a black leather costume.

‘Even more woah.’ Spider-man said.
‘Hell yeh.’ Ice-man nodded.
‘Secure the area, put Blockbuster into custody.’ The mysterious agent said in a heavy Russian accent as several agents in a similar uniform ran off to do their orders.

‘What is SHIELD doing here?’ Scott asked.
‘This man is a terrorist, we are here to claim him.’ She replied. ‘unfortunately you were not able to apprehend the rest.’
‘Who are you?’ Beast asked.
‘Agent Romanov, but you can call me ‘Black Widow’. And I have been given Champion access to recruit you all for a mission to capture the Marauders.’

The SHIELD ship sat course for Latveria as a faster speed even the X-jet couldn’t match.
As the X-men prepared for their mission, Hank couldn’t refrain from dousing his curiosity.
‘Excuse me, Agent Romanov?’ He slipped nearly cringed as he saw her glare when she was pulled from her duties.

‘Vhat is it?’ She asked.
‘Who EXACTLY are the Marauders?’
She sighed as if she was asked what the solution was to two plus two.
‘The Marauders are a group of mutant mercenaries who have committed several crimes against humanity and mutant kind, according to our sources they are currently working for a man named ‘Sinister’ of whom we have no idea how he looks or sounds like. ‘

‘Sinister?’ Spider-man exclaimed. ‘You serious, Sinister?’
‘Da.’ The Russian spy went b ack to her reports, checking things over one last time.
‘Let’s not get picky, you are fighting guys who call themselves Scorpion or Vulture.’ Ice-man grinned.
‘I know, but at least it gives me a idea what I’m fighting, what can you expect from sinister?’ the wallcrawler shrugged. ‘oooooh, look at me, I’m SINISTER, I do sinister-e thiiiiiings!’

‘Can you be serious for just one moment Spider-man?’ Jean asked. ‘This is serious, these people kidnapped us and sold us to Doctor Doom.’
‘Why, is the question we should ask ourselves...’ Beast rubbed his chin.

The Black Widow placed her notepad down and moved toward the group.
‘Briefing, I suggest you all listen carefully, because I will say this only once.’
‘Isn’t that from a british sketch show called ‘Allo, Allo?’’ Spider-man asked but only received glares from the X-men. ‘Yeh, I’ll shut up now.’

The Russian spy continued. ‘Over the past few months since your escape from Latveria large numbers of mutants have gone missing, our sources claim they have been kidnapped by the Marauders who work for Sinsiter who in turn could be in an alliance with victor von Doom.’
‘That is big assumption Miss Romanov.’ Scott spoke up. ‘Who are your sources?’

She glanced at the leader of these X-men. ‘That information is confidential, but I can tell you many of our sources died giving us this information.’
‘Bothans...’ Bobby whispered to Spider-man.
The Russian paid no heed. ‘Director Fury instructed me to gather you and mount a rescue operation to save the kidnapped mutants and capture the Marauders.’

‘Why us?’ Cyclops asked. ‘Because we escaped from there before?’
‘Among other reasons....’ she replied.
‘The other super heroes were to busy weren’t they?’ Spider-man pointed out. ‘The Avengers, the Fantastic Four....’
‘That is none of your concerns Spider-man, all I want you to do during this mission is to keep focused and do your jobs.’

‘Why should we do this?’ ice-man asked. ‘What if we refuse?’
‘If you do this, SHIELD will owe you a favour, which can range to anything.’
‘Like a-‘ Spider-man was caught off by more glares. ‘Jeez, though crowd....’

‘Agent Romanov, Doomstad is up ahead, ETA two minutes.’ The pilot shouted over.
The other agent prepared their weapons and slid special helmets over their heads.
‘Right.’ The Russian spy slid a magazine into her pistol. ‘Ready?’
Cyclops glanced back at his X-men, then to her. ‘Give us a minute.’
‘We are there in two-‘
‘I’m not asking.’ Scott broke her off and took his X-men aside.

‘This is madness Scott.’ Jean said. ‘We shouldn’t even he here.’
‘I agree with Jean.’ Hank spoke up. ‘Clearly Miss Romanov and SHIELD has this covered.’
‘This doesn’t just concern us anymore Hank, it’s grown bigger then that.’
‘How do you mean?’ ice-man asked.

‘She said they’ve been kidnapping mutants, and from as far as we know Doom tried to steal our powers so he could create a army, a weapon, something. We cannot allow that to happen.’
‘Wait...’ Spider-man held p his hands. ‘You mean we are actually going to save the world?’
‘We are.’ The leader of the X-men said.’ We cut the roots off the tree before it even grows.’

‘Interesting diagnoses Scott.’ Beast rubbed his glasses clean with his X-men shirt before changing into his X-men costume. ‘But nobody else except these agents will see, we could still be seen as criminals once we return homeward.’
‘Maybe, old friend.’ Scott said’ But this way we prove to ourselves and those other mutants we are not just a group that deals with their own internal problems, we are going to save the world.’

‘Charles would have a field day if he saw this.’ Marvel girl said as she slipped her mask on.
‘We’re not the X-men anymore Jean, we are X-force.’ Cyclops switched from his glasses to his visor.’ We’re here to help people, not just our own.’
Jean smiled and nodded. ‘X-force.’

She held out her hand.
‘X-force.’ Beast nodded and palced his furry paw on her hand.
‘X-force.’ Ice-man nodded and placed his hand on top of theirs.
‘X-force...’ Scott placed his hand.

‘Guys, we’re almost there.’ Spider-man pointed out. ‘ Let’s go safe the world!’

The ship came under fire at the castle’s wall was defended by the Doombots.
‘Seems Doom knows we are on to them.’ Natasha grinned. ‘Pilot, open the door!’

The pilot opened the door as the Black widow leaped out of the ship, firing her twin pistols at the nearest robotic sentry’s. The bots fell down, shot to pieces as he landed. ‘Teams 1 and 2 go, team 3 back up!’ she shouted.

Twelve of the eighteen agents leaped out, followed by the super heroes.
‘Bobby secure the east, Hank the west, Jean your with me!’ Cyclops shouted over the engine’s as he fired his optic blast on three Doombots.

‘On it boss!’ ice-man slid on his ice ramp as he delat with the Doombots.
Hank merely growled and let his inner animal take over for a spell as he slashed them apart.

‘Woah, I never been to Europe before!’ Spider-man exclaimed as he evaded the Doombot’s lasers. ‘Nor have I been on a mission to save the world, I’m going through a revolution today!’

‘Spider-man, focus!’ Black widow shouted.
‘I am, this is my shtick ya know.’ The wall crawler replied.

He webbed a group of the bots together before throwing them over the wall.
He glanced back as ice-man froze the last few bots on his end. The two nodded at each other before going on to the larger amount of robotic sentries that ran towards them.

Hank helped a wounded agent up. ‘There must be a easier way to defeat these mechanical monstrosities.’
‘I believe I can help with that.’ Natasha grinned and threw a device on the ground. In a blink of an eye all the Doombots fell to the ground.
‘Ah, a EMP bomb, I see SHIELD comes prepared.’ Hank grinned.

She nodded and reloaded her weapons.
‘Team 2 secure this area, team 1 come-‘
‘Get down!’ Spider-man shouted and tackled the Russian spy.
‘Vhat are you-‘

The wall exploded, sending everyone nearby flying. A large stone block flew inches over the Black widow and Spider-man’s heads.
Jean held out her hands, the debris that flew towards them all went over the wall. After that she fell to her knees, blood dripped from her nose.

Out of the hole came the Marauders, minus Blockbuster, followed by a legion of what seemed to be creatures of nightmare.
They could be best described as the monster of Frankenstein. Gray skin, flaring red eyes and mechanical implants scattered over their bodies.

‘Oh crap...’ Spider-man muttered. ‘What are they?’
‘Clones.’ Natasha dusted herself off. ‘Cybernetic enhanced ones.’
‘Oh....your welcome.’

Scalphunter grinned as he rested his gun on his shoulder.
‘Sinister thought you would show up, hence he decided to test our new friends out.’
‘Oooooh, he send us Frankensteins, scaaaary!’ Ice-man pretended to cower.
‘Technically it’s Frankenstein’s monster Robert, Frankenstein was the scientist who-‘

‘Be quiet.’ The Black widow snapped before glancing back to the enemy.
‘I am Agent Romanov of SHIELD, I hereby declare you all under arrest for crimes against Man-and Mutant-kind. Lay down your weapons and be taken into custody.’
‘Hmmm...let me think about it.....’ Scalphunter pretended to ponder.

‘I think he’ll say no.’ Spider-man whispered to a agitated Natasha.
‘Heroes, I want you to find those mutants, we can handle these....things.’ The Russian said.
Cyclops nodded. ‘Hank, I want you and Bobby to stay here and help, Jean and Spider-man, your with me.’
‘I said we didn’t need help Cyclops.’ Black widow said.
‘Who said we were helping you.’ Cyclops grinned. ‘I need someone to open the door for us.’

‘Time’s up homo sapiens!’ Scalphunter shouted and fired away as the marauders and the cybernetic monstrosities charged. Cyclops set his optic blast to full, blasting a hole between the charging villains.

‘Ice-man, Beast, now!’ he shouted as the two X-force members slided/swung in, beating the last stragglers into submission as Spider-man swung both Cyclops and Marvel girl inside the castle.

Harpoon turned around as he grabbed one of his signature weapons. As he was going to throw it he was knocked down.
‘Third time is a charm as they say Mister Harpoon.’ Hank grinned.

‘Right Jean, can you hear where they are?’ Scott asked once the trio were deep inside the castle.
She closed her eyes and concentrated long and hard. ‘I...i hear scared thoughts....’ she opened them again. ‘That way!’ she led the way.

They ran inside the castle, and came across a large room. As they glanced left and right they saw dozens if not hundreds of people sat inside the cells. On closer inspection they saw they all wore a armbands and something around their necks, possibly, yet very probably, stopping them from accessing their powers.

‘Wow...somebody’s been busy.’ Spider-man said. ‘You all right in there, guys?’
‘Look, it’s Spider-man and the X-men!’ one of the prisoners shouted.
‘Stand back.’ Cyclops said as he blew away the lock of the nearest cell.

He stepped inside. ‘What is your name, kid?’
The man glanced up. ‘Jason...Jason Trac.’
‘What is your power?’
‘I can change into a animal, use their power...’ he said somewhat fearfully.
‘I want you to help me Jason, we cant free all of them with just the three of us.’
‘You want me to help you, help the X-men?’

Cyclops nodded.
‘Yes, can you handle it Jason?’
Jason smiled and nodded. ‘Of course.’

Scott backed out of the cell as Jason stepped out, turning into a bear-like creature that bashed the cell doors open and sliced the cuffs in half.

‘X-men!’

Everyone turned back as thunder was seen from the open door in back, the cloaked figure of Victor von Doom glared angrily below.
‘You have interrupted my plans for the last time!’ he shouted. As he lowerd his arms they became engulfed in electricity.

‘Oh crap...’ Cyclops muttered. ‘Jason, get the others out, Now!’
He ran towards Victor, shooting blasts at him as he went. Doom deflected the strikes as if he was swatting flies before he unleashed his strikes at Cyclops who barely dodged them.

Spider-man swung up and jumped in the air. He aimed his arms at Doom and tapped his palm repeatedly. As he tapped he shot small web balls at the dictator of Latveria.
‘Hey I’m here to Doom-y’ he exclaimed.
‘You are nothing to me, arachnid.’ Doom swat those balls aside as well as he unleashed his strikes at the wall crawler.
‘Woah, you’re the first bad guy I fought who actually does Not call me an insect, I salute you sir!’

Jean also ran towards the dictator, she held her hand on her head as pieces of debris and power-dampening equipment flew at the green cloaked villain.

Doom, being attacked on three fronts, cried out. Not in agony, nor in pain, but of annoyance.
‘Enough!’ he shouted and slammed his hands together. As he did a massive shockwave threw the three heroes off their feet. Before they could react he attacked them again, electrocuting them with an electric beam that came out of his right hand he held outstretched.

‘This...is....BOGUS!’ Spider-man twitched.
Cyclops glanced over to Jean who glanced back at him. ‘Jean.....’Flying anvil’...now!’
Jean gritted her teeth. ‘I cant....we haven’t tested it yet!’
‘Jean now!’

She nodded and focused as hard as she could. Scott closed his eyes as his visor floated away from him. The visor shook heavily as it floated away.
‘I..i cant...’ she gritted her teeth more from the pain.
‘You can Jean, trust me, trust yourself!’

She nodded and soon the visor stabilised. Doom blinked as the visor suddenly turned to view in his direction.
‘Scott, now!’ the telepath shouted.

Cyclops opened his eyes as the optic blast flew towards her, but the beam changed direction dramatically and flew in the visor, the optic blast then taking Doom out.
The electrocution stopped and the three heroes slowly got up.

‘Good job hun.’ Cyclops smiled and held her hand. ‘You saved us.’
‘Your welcome.’ She replied.
‘guys...’ Spider-man pointed to where Doom was.

When they looked at him they saw one of Doom’s mechanical arms was defect. The dictator growled.
‘You will pay for tha-‘

A lithe figure leaped behind him and jabbed Doom in the back. As he cried out he fell down, grunting in pain. ‘Doom is down, mission complete.’ Natasha said into her wristband.
‘Woah...you sure showed him that this is a rescue mission!’ Spider-man said.
‘Mission objectives changed.’ She said as she walked down the stairs.
Dozens of SHIELD agents passed the trio as they captured the downed villain. As the heores glanced outside they had to shield their eyes from the lights.
A large ship held aloft by 4 turbines floated above, sending several more ships similar to one X-force used to get to Latveria, down.

‘Woah....’ the wallcrawler blinked. ‘Is that...?’
‘A helicarier, yes. Director Fury managed to change NAVO’s mind about Latveria.’ The Russian spy replied.
‘Excellent.’

‘What about Sinister?’ Jean asked. ‘Where is he?’
‘We have no idea.’ Natasha said. ‘When my men found the laboratory most of the equipment was gone, along with the data.’
‘Meaning we will have to deal with Sinister later in the future...’ Cyclops grimly stated.

A few hours later a SHIELD ship dropped X-force off at their newly restored apartment, courtesy of Nick Fury as a little thank you for rounding up half the known Marauders and stopping Doom’s plans for world domination, with Spider-man been dropped of somewhere in Queens.

‘I do believe we all should take a rest.’ Hank stated as they exited the elevator.
‘Same idea here..’ Jean agreed. ‘Saving the world is tiresome.’
‘Enough with the world saving tirade.’ Scott rubbed his head. ‘It’s enough Bobby and Spider-man kept saying it all the way back from Europe.’

‘Well excuuuuse me fearless leader, it’s not like bad karma is going to head our way.’ The icey hero grinned as he opened the door. They all gasped as they saw someone was already inside, waiting for them.
‘My X-men....’ the figure said. ‘I need your help.’
‘Professor?’
