Tell me what do you think of Melita Garner of the main supporting cast of Wolverine: Weapon X series and new love interest? She seems to make her first good impression from her first appearance in the series. She didn't frighting by two crooks with the gun and didn't even scream from Logan's violent attack on those two thugs, instead she goes to make an interview of Wolverine. She was more interest of learning the full story of Wolverine. The girl even knows how to take care of herself and helped out Logan against Weapon X with her reporting skills. Jason Auron even said that he didn't create her to be the damsel-in-distress or "canon fodder" like Wolverine's previous love interests.

It's a shame to tell you all due to my new residence in england i am not able to buy comic books anymore, so i never read anything about the character save what i see from preview pages and from you lot.
From what i gather she is a good strong character that might be the type of woman Logan needs at this point. However if Aaron decides to kill her...i'll be furious.
Damnit why did Amir ahve to die!

She is a very strong character with no powers or skills. I don't think Aaron plans on killing off Melita later on,as I said before he said he didn't create Melita to be "Canon Fodder".

Aaron might not, but a other writer might do.

I don't think he will allow them to. I mean he made an interview about, hopefully it might influence the other writers to not kill her off.

Aaron made the Wolverine: Weapon X series relived the 80's and 90's Wolverine that we always loved.

As long as Weapon X is ongoing and Aaron is the writer, she's safe. In any other case, she's a corpse, sad but true. No matter how tough or capable she is, she's still a human and they are squishy.

For the character herself, I started off not liking her much. She seemed like too many other pushy female characters in Wolverine's life, but she is starting to grow on me. Issue ten was a good read and she is starting to get her own distinct voice. Still don't really think she's a good choice for a love interest though. She's a 'Mary Jane' and no one else is going to include her in their stories. For someone like Logan, who is all over, I would prefer someone established that other writers might want to use.

Domino or Storm come to mind.

Storm I'd agree, not really a fan of the Domino pairing. Prefer someone that was a long time friend like Betsy or even Rogue over Domino.

Never got into Rogue/Gambit really. Never liked Warren/Betsy either.
