We went a waaaaay bit off topic in the previous thread so our brainstorming shall begin here. For those who come browing in, Yours truely, Cat and Tempestdog might create a fanfic, similair to my previous 'Spectacular X-men' work, about the X-men's third wave....including Sabretooth! We may or may not put our CC (created character's) in here, depends. For those who wish to join in, here's looking at you Loganactor/Sniktsnakt/Raja. Let us begin! |

So wanna summarize what you came up with in the other thread? Are you thinking of Wolvie and Sabes being on the same team, or are you looking at something like the team Rogue was heading for a while? |

Govar suggested the idea that we know Xavier approached both Sabretooth and Wolverine for the third team of X Men, however, we all know that without a mindwipe those two won't play nicely together (and won't all the time even with one), so what if he'd mind wipe them both to use them to rescue team 1 (and possibily team 2)? I likes it. Have them running the 3rd team as something akin to squad leaders. Still on the same side, still reaching for the same goals, but with different misisons and methods. Hell, if Chuck mind wipes them, we could see a whole new side to their relationship. Talk about your "What if?" storyline. *chuckles* Yeah. I like it. Wipe the two of them and task them with the same objective, each one taking along 5 or 6 other X-Men (maybe Juniors). They go about it different ways, and wind up completing the mission. Maybe Creed looses one or two of his squad, but the others become so bonded to him through the experience that when the mind wipes fail (as they inevitably will) and Creed breaks from Xavier he takes his remaining crew with him. Also sets you up for later fics with them coming back as villains. Just my random thoughts on the matter. |

Would be cool, especially looking at Wolvie's mental condition when he joined the X-Men in the first place. What comics would you incorporate? Not to mention Wolvie and Sabes on a real team . . . .there have been flashbacks, but it's never really worked for long. I'd love to see that.

Honestly, I think I'd just take off from around Giant-Size #1, and update the story a little. The original team is in some peril or another, and so Chuck goes off to recruit new X-Men, and comes across these two hairy ex-Special Forces mutants. He starts researching both, and discovers that they have a less than amicable history. He decides that he needs the best, to save his beloved original students, and Creed and Logan are indeed the best, if on opposite sides of the coin. He mind wipes them and sets them as team leaders, intending for the team which completes the mission better or faster to become a backup team. The rejects get...well, rejected, and come back in Volume II for revenge. Hell, you could have an all star cast, all mind wiped to operate under Creed and Logan's command. Logan could take the Giant-Size team into battle wherever (Madripoor, Krakoa, what have you), and Creed could lead something like a Weapon X team. Creed, Deadpool, Marrow, Maverick, and Silver Fox, maybe. I know, it's a lot of very big, very established, very complicated personalities to write, but I think it could work. |

That's what I was thinking, if I was hoping for some Creed and Logan on same team for a bit. We've seen hints that when they're not trying to kill each other, they do work well together. We could have creed running something like the X Force team. I suppose. |

Well, I mean it's not like they'll be completely separate. They'll be together up to the point that their teams split. Maybe Doom is holding the original X-Men hostage or some such, and so Logan and Creed will have to combine their efforts to battle through the army of Doombots/human servants between them and their objective. Cruise the Blackbird into Latverian airspace, and when it gets targeted, have everyone bail out. Maybe using S.H.I.E.L.D. H.A.W.K. harnesses, and have Logan and Creed have a moment of pure bliss as they freefall for miles and miles. They connect through the exhiliration of maybe dying, and have a laugh as the other X-Men kinda panic. Everybody lands, but it's a bushwhack. Doom knew they were coming (as he should, since he's DOOM!), and set a ton and a half of Doombots between them and the castle. Once they get inside, they can split up to look for the original team. Or, ya know...whatever you had planned. It's your story, after all |
