2009, The Year of Wolverine; (for good or ill)

Self claimed fanfic critic.
 We did see a little NA itneraction in the issues before Dark Wolverine.
Spidey actually sort of helps, he actually is sort of the good angel on Logan's shoulder and Cyclops the other.

In reading over several responses, it seems that "the year of Wolverine" wasn't all that great for his many long-time fans. It's really kind of sad that in terms of his comics, the "meat-and-potatoes" of the canon of the character, it was a bad-to-mediocre year for him. I'm kinda bummed. There's always hope, but with the Disney merger and the promotion of new characters and new lines of comics, is there hope for his future?

 Well there is always hope. He has a film franchise which did enough business to green-light a sequel and at least one spin off so far. He is definitely one of the big names for Marvel and something that Disney can leverage off of for it's young male demographics. That said i don't know what will happen in terms of the comics. People have been bashing him for years but he does sell well so there is always hope. I just would like to see a revival of the character and more focus like Spider-Man got recently or the Hulk.

Of course that can be a tough sell when he does have two on-goings and three or four team memberships under his belt (and 12-15 appearances a month even now.)
