Selene has the power to sacrifice people and steal their energy. Absorb enough in a ritual and she would become a god, unstoppable. She has figured out a way to use mystical powers, one of her flunkys (Bard) and the T.O. virus to bring mutants back from the dead. She has been testing it on certain mutants notably so far Doug Ramsey and Destiny. But we know there are going to be others she brings back as well, we've seen them on covers and such. I expect she is trying to build herself an army.

She has gathered a group of killers to her as well, Wither from the New X-Men, Blink who was long thought dead in 616, and I believe Dazzler's sister Lois London and the ex-Acolyte Senyaka all with death related powers.

Her ultimate goal is to rise all the dead mutants from Genosha and then sacrifice them to gain ultimate power for herself.

I wonder how many will be given a new lease on life once this crossover is finished.

Actually forgot the first one, Caliban who is being used to hunt down the dead bodies.

No clue on how many are staying around. I know it was mentioned that the New Mutants cast would be expanding but that could just mean that Doug and Warlock are staying.

I am not sure that I want Thuderbird brought back for an extended period of time.

Here is the scene that I want to see. Warpath is confronted with is brother, the "possessed" Thunderbird. Thunderbird attacks Warpath and basically hands him his ass, because James is in shock and is too reluctant to harm his resurrected brother. Finally during the beating Warpath comes to his senses and begins fighting back with tears in his eyes and soundly defeats Thunderbird. Warpath then goes after Eli Bard completely enraged at what had been done to him and his brother.

After that Thunderbird can die again.

If he is brought back permanently it would detract from the character for me.

I understand your feelings Templedog, after all he is your favourite.
TBH i dont have much of a connection with Caliban, Destiny or indeed Thunderbird, so i dont mind there fate after Necrosha.

I have no idea if any of these resurrections are meant to be permanent but who knows? I would prefer most of them stay dead however, there are already too many characters running around in the X-titles, we don't need to have all of them at once.
