Big time spoilers below, you've been warned.

The issue deals with Wolverine trying to slowly eat the world while maintaining his cover and Zombie Spidey trying to find a cure for the hunger. Have to say of all of the issues so far this one annoyed me. They killed off the zombie Wolverine for no real reason just to make the 'real' Wolverine a zombie? And how does stabbing a zombie through the chest kill it anyway?? That makes no sense! And most of the issue was just ninja fighting and an excuse to continue the plot from the first issue since it was skipped in the second.

But since they have already pretty much destroyed what happened in the original series (depowering the zombies and all) I really don't see a purpose in curing them now. I think we have come to the end of this brand, I would have rather stopped at Zombies 2 for these characters and done another Midnight Sons series.

What's funny is that I felt the exact opposite about this issue. The first issue had a strong beginning, with Spider-Man wanting to make a new life for himself. And then it spiraled into gory madness. The second one was pointless (thus far, I'm sure it will play a role later, but even so). While this issue actually seemed to have a plot, minimal gore, and contributed to the overall storyline.

We see that zombie Spider-Man made good on his goal of changing and is trying to keep his fellow zombies, and the the hunger gospel in check. Meaning this is all leading up to something. As to why this is important, well I see that now. If even one of these zombies is left free in the multiverse it could mean the end of all things. If Spider-Zombie succeeds he might very well be able to end this plague before it really has a chance to begin.

As for how stabbing a zombie in the chest kills it... He didn't just stab, he sliced him in two from both sides. Whether or not the Wolverine zombie is dead or not doesn't really matter, what matters is that it's essentially useless. Sure, he may still be alive, but that won't do him much good since all of the parts that allowed him to walk are now connected to nothing.

EDIT: It also occurs to me that this new potential zombie Wolverine may be the one recruited into the all Wolverine team of Exiles.
