Has it ever occured to anyone that Thomas Logan could have been Grandfather Howlett's illegitmate son? Grandfather Howlett was a harsh and unpleasant sort of man so it kind of fits. It would also explain Thomas Logan's disdain and hatred for the Howlett family. |

Interesting concept. And one could write that in to explain why Thomas, as unpleasant as he was, seemed to have a guaranteed job on the Howlett estate. Right up until the day he killed half of'em. |

It would also explain why Grandfather Howlett kept Dog around for all of those years after the night that John, Elizabeth, and Thomas were killed. I could also see Grandfather Howlett keeping Thomas' parentage a secret because he was all about people of lower status knowing their place. Could you imagine the scandel that he would feel if it was revealed that he had an illegitmate son. |

You know, this theory? I really like it. I know that family already has more than enough drama, but this all makes perfect sense. |

Wow, Ace and I finally agree. Isn't that one of the first signs of the apocalypse? To me the Origin series harkens back to the old gothic/victorian stories which were all about drama, plot twists, and secrets.

Plus Grandfather Howlett had the signature muttonchops that Thomas and James have. Even John Howlett III has them. |

It is an interesting possibility, and it would add a whole new dimension to the "is Thomas Logan Wolverine's father debate" |

That could also explain Creed. Thomas Logan falls for Elizabeth Hudson (Creed's daughter) Creed likes to keep things "in the Family" and a major rivalry explodes between Thomas and Creed. Elizabeth sees Thomas can't protect her and finds refuge with the rich brother John Howelet. Or something along those lines. I would like to see what happened between all of these charachters before Wolverine was born. |

Like I said it would make a really good victorian/gothic story. In addition it would not be the first time a woman was caught between two brothers. |

That's certainly possible though it becomes odd that Dog did not have the family powers then if his blood was completely the same as James and Johns. |
