Romulus, so that is what he looks like.

I just looked a pic of Romulus on the net and I must say I am not impressed. He looks like a big white-haired klingon on steroids. Like another board member said, it was like "Ho hum, Big Deal".

I would post the pic that I found but I can never figure out how. :)

By the way I hate the Klingons except in the original series, their whole Worf/viking/honor-bound mentality got so unbelievably boring and over-used in the later tv series.

I really want to know where that thumb claw goes when it retracts. Does it shoot out the back of his hand or what?

Basically it looks like someone found the art from Wolverine: The End and injected steroids.

Exactly, like I said B-O-R-I-N-G. I was expecting someone more refined, and the opposite of Logan. We h.ave seen the opposite of Wolverine in wild-man form and that was Sabre-tooth

i thought romulus was like this more animal looking (since he was the first) but regal and look like royalty. i did not expect him to show up without a shirt and looking like a younger and more buff John Howlett..

He looks pretty much as expected to me. A bit of John Howlett from The End, a bit of Logan, and a bit like the hulking hairy beast Loeb had him portrayed in hiding in the shadows (that Way was now stuck with). He's large in form, but his eyes and face have a sort of quiet dignity about them. As if he's a man who knows who can do anything.

The "thumb claw" was a bit of a surprise, but that may just be part of the glove, which also gives hints about his personality. His taste in Japanese apparel and his refined claws (as opposed to Daken and Logan's more haphazardly created ones) show that even on the smallest detail he cares about perfection.

Anywho, for those put off but the large and shirtless form, blame Loeb. Because he appeared as a large, hairy shirtless man with longish hair all throughout "Evolution", Way had little choice but to factor that into the final design.

Not really, he could have made him look however he wanted. Easy enough to explain away that we never actually saw Romulus before, just were seeing one of his feral friends in the shadows.

Perhaps it was common courtesy between writers.
