I am wondering about another possibility here which I personally do not like but which is something that they might do as far as the memories go.

I know that some scientists and psychologists believe in racial or genetic memory. Information, even memories can be passed on at birth and be available to be accessed by the subconscious (and occasionally conscious) mind. Now I know this theory is mostly dead these days but it does pop up in fiction periodically. If they are going to stick with Wolverine not being human *shudder* then this could be their explanation for both Wolverine and John's memories of pre-history.

While that theory opens up new possibilities for genetics research in the real world (isn`t that how killer bees pass on knowledge?), I certainly hope they steer clear from making Logan some sort of human beastie! It`s like sometimes Marvel becomes this clueless 4 year old who thinks about making changes/retcons because so and so would look "cooler" - or at least that`s the impression I get!

I know the feeling and I believe fans won't let it happen as we have a say too.

Fans speak with their dollars only and many of us are so invested in the characters and series we keep buying even when we hate the stories in the hope it will get better. Therefore if a new 'cool' twist shows up and grabs even a decent number of new people it looks like a win for the company.

Which is sad, because we`re basically buying it without any regard for the story or the "cool" twist to begin with... Oh well, hope it won`t turn out like that!

My biggest concern is the new movie interest and flash in the pan stories are starting to look an awful lot like the bad old 90s.
