I am highly interested in this guy and think that he is probably someone related to Logan. Four possiblities. 1. John Howelet. logan's thoughtdead brother who appeared in Wolverine the End. 2. Dog. There are problems with this theory but I throw it out anyway. 3. The real Sabretooth. This is a far out one too but neat. Claremont had at one time planned that all the Sabretooths we had seen were really clones created by Sinister and the real Creed rarely ever showed himself. 4. Romulus. There is no secret he is an ancient mutant who has been involved in pwer plays for thousands of years and seems to be evolved from wolves. Like to hear any theories as to who or what he might be. |

It is possible for it to be someone Logan already knows. Mostly because Romulus claims to want revenge for something Logan has done before. I forget what issues of Origins he reveals this in. |

I didn't like the whole: ancient Blonde vs. Black haired wolf clans battling. And the only one blonde and one black at any given time... It was better when the Sith did it in Star Wars. That said, I kinda like the concept of a mysterious "puller of strings" villain. Then again DiG had a good point about how annoying it is to have EVERYTHING connected to Romulus' will. |

I don't get the black/blonde thing either. I just don't undertand it. I will be surprized if Way references any of it in Origins, instead focusing on the more interesting aspects Romulus. |

To be fair Way wasn't responsible for the black vs blonde thing. That was Jeph Loeb I don't think that was Way's intention. |

What annoys me is it could have worked as a savage tribe who liked/worshipped/emulated wolves instead have being evolved from them, Evolution (the story arc) makes me sick. |

Interesting thing is it sort of unintentionally ties in with Larry Hama's "feral Wolverine". http://forums.wolverinefiles.com/topic/1148542/1/ Anyone remember when feral Logan licked Cyclops' face , in order to wake him up? And for a few issues all he could say was "grr" and "Rawr?". |

...yeah. I have a love/hate relationship for Hama. More than I can say for Loeb, though. I feel like he violated my childhood! |

The only good thing I can say for Loeb is he gave a "reason" behind Sabretooth's hatred for Logan. I always thought it was stupid that he tortured Logan just for kicks. Especially since he didn't try to torture the other heroes who defeated him.
