And too slow. Way too much focus on splash pages and art and not nearly enough on trying to move the story along. Which make it all feel very disjointed.

This particular issue was probably the part I enjoyed the most, mostly because of Forge and his interactions with the team and Storm. His apparent madness was a bit jarring given that he seemed sane during Messiah Complex, but then again, the end of that story did have him taking several blows to the head. Perhaps something was rattled loose.

Still, this was the issue that made the arc worth it, to me. I feel it will be much better in trade form. At the end of the day the story wasn't really all that interesting, but I think where the arc really shines is in character interactions. Even when I wasn't enjoying the story I'd be chuckling at a comment made by Emma, Wolverine, and so on.

Oh, and one of Forge's comments was hilarious...

Yeah I agree. I did enjoy the conclusion a lot more then the previous issues.

I assume Forge is dead now right? I mean since he got blown to smithereens and all.

Do we know anything about the future of Warren Ellis's run?

We know the next issue is in oct and we're going with a new artist, not much more then that. Not even how long Ellis is staying on board.
