Link: http://marvel.com/catalog/?id=12010 Looking forward to this issue very much. I hope it holds up and continues to deliver. Everyone else feel the same way?

I've loved both of the first two as I made pretty plain with my reviews. Great characterizations, realistic people, good drama. I really wish this was going longer. The real complaint is the cut it down and it feels a bit rushed I think. Needs to be an ongoing where the characters can really shine. |

I wonder how powerful clone Jean Grey and Scarlet Witch are. It's a bit of a overkill if you ask me. =( |

Not even sure they are supposed to be clones. It said something about plucking them out of the time stream or something. |

Yeah you are right, they weren't clones. Spoiler: click to toggle All and all I liked it. I'm guessing this is Gaea ? Link: http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/gaeathor.htm Wow. This is the first time I've even heard of her. I bet you a bunch of new fans are like "WTF?" |

Gaea is one of the three known Elder Gods of the universe. Alongside Set and the dark God Chthon. There are others, but those are the big ones. I'm not exactly sure what Set is known for, but Chthon and Gaea each have a very important role in history: Chthon is responsible for the first generation of demons (the second generation being fallen Angels, and all future demons presumably being corrupted souls). And Gaea is the mother of most of the deity pantheons on Earth. For example she's Thor's birth mother. So in that way all of the God (Asgardian, Olympian, Keltic, Egyptian, etc etc) are all genetically related on some level. |

Not to my knowledge. The Elder Gods are some of the highest up there. But it's difficult to gauge just how powerful such characters are. Even though we call them "Gods", that's really more of a self-given title. The Elder Gods are generally considered to be extradimensional in origin, entering the 616 universe close to the beginning of time. But then there are others like the Phoenix Force and Galactus that predate the arrival of the Elder Gods. And the regular pantheons of Gods are hardly omnipotent, they were born and die like any other beings. At the end of the day though, there's at least some form of hierarchy to it all, with "God" supposedly being the highest notch on the totem pole. But that particular entity is a vague construct who is hinted at more often than directly encountered. Edited by Ace, Jun 18 2009, 03:50 PM.

it was another good issue although yeah it is definitely feeling rushed now. They obviously had a longer story planned and now are having to throw things at you a little fast. I don't relish having to do a recap of this one. |

Yeah. I don't think it's done for cheap shock value like in Ultimatum. I think they are being forced to cram three issues into two issues. That pisses me off. I'm not mad at the writers. I'm mad at Marvel for not giving them the space they needed. I'm sure they do this all the time. |
