Heather Hudson suspects her husband is responsible for erasing Logan's memories and forcing the adamantium onto his bones. Logan reveals he remembers the war, but has no memory of the Adamantium bonding process. Lady Deathstrike reveals why she wants to kill Logan for the first time. This is when she is still human. Logan reveals he left Alpha Flight because he was in love with Heather. How the Hudsons first met Logan in the woods and saved him. Logan first realizes he has metal claws in a flashback. It's very rare we get these many shocking and important revelations in a regular comic book issue. What is even more rare is that all of this wasn't revealed in Uncanny X-Men or a Wolverine issue, but in a series where Logan wasn't even a main character in. Especially since at that time Logan was such a mysterious character and very little was known about him.

Only the X-Men leader at the time is Magneto and he blasts her out of the sky. Logan almost kills Magneto for that, then takes Heather some place to recover. You can tell Logan still has strong feelings for her, he probably would of left the X-Men for awhile if she asked him to. In case you don't know who Heather Hudson is...She is the red head Logan loved before Jean Grey. Heather Hudson Heather was working as a secretary when she met James Hudson. She learned he had resigned from the company after learning his suit was to be sold as a weapon. She too resigned, and followed him. The two were attracted to each other and soon married. Heather also explained that the Canadian government could help them. They also encountered Wolverine while he was only known as a rampaging 'wild man.' Heather had a calming influence on Logan. However, he left rather than cause difficulties with the Hudsons' relationship. Her Geothermal suit gives her the ability to fly, Superhuman Durability, Heat Manipulation, and various other abilities.

She is often regarded as one of Logan's closest and more personal friends. When Logan was hurting after Magneto ripped the Adamantium from his body, he went to see Heather thinking he didn't have much time left on Earth... I wish they did more stories about these two, but it seems Marvel has forgotten about their bond.
