| Logan and Jean Grey - Unrequited love; Should these two just get together? | |

I always wanted to see Logan and Jean get together. Even back when I was a kid watching the old 90's cartoon. I just wanted to see Logan happy with Jean Grey for a little while. Unfortunately I don't know if that will ever happen, but I think some of you might agree with me. There was some nice moments between them in Grant Morrisons' New X-Men. I'm sure there might of been even better moment's before that, but that is before I became dedicated to reading comic books. Perhaps some of you can enlighten me on some great Jean Grey and Wolverine scenes. Here is a little known moment where Logan is dying and he gets his final request.  |

This is a pairing I always wanted to see and hopefully we'll be getting a taste of it soon. It has been popular in a number of alternate worlds and I think there is a market for it or at least some authors that want to see them together. I really like both characters and I think Jean deserves so much more then Scott. Besides they are the perfect couple. She'll die every few years allowing Wolverine to go off and do his own thing and have random girls. Then she'll come back and they can be together. Considering she will probably always be hooked to the Phoenix they will both essentially be immortal. |

She did try to save him in a space ship when they were escaping from a Weapon X building in space. And they were ready to die in each others arms , all of this happening in New X-Men. The feelings have always been there right? But she turns him down because Scott was her first love?

Pretty much so yeah. We see in Classic X-Men in the backup stories she's pretty much always had a thing for him just chose Scott. Then of course Scott was a jerk and cheated on her with Emma which kind of opened the playing field again. |

Hmm...to be compleatly honest, I never much liked Jean as a character because she was too much of a damzel in distress. Hence, I never much liked this coupling; I didn`t really see much chemistry between them, but I have to admit that the immortal Phoenix argument is interesting. Somehow, I always thought of Jean as a female version of Cyclop, sans his analytic skills. |

She actually has not been portrayed as a damsel in distress since the early early years. She's an Omega class mutant even without the Phoenix force acting for her. She subconsciously limits herself because she could not handle her powers when they first developed. It was the trauma of experiencing her friends death that almost drove her mad so the Professor had to limit her powers. She goes back to this because she is scared of what she can do. But still she's a powerhouse and generally showed as a scrapper to boot. |

Jean is waaaay too powerful sometimes. I know she died a couple of times in crappy Exile and What If stories. But the real Phoenix can pretty much stand toe to toe against most Omega level mutants. How many times have Logan and Jean kissed.?I remember the first time was during the Inferno saga.

Actually I believe canonically there is a kiss in Classic X-Men that is meant to predate all of it and be set in the very early days of Wolverine joining. There is a topic for it on UXN but I can't get to that site from here. |
