I would of like to see a group of consistent individuals pulling Logan's strings throughout the war at the very least. (If this is the case) We know with Captain America it was most likely those who helped him become Captain America. With Logan we don't know if it was necessarily the Canadian government who sent him to Hiroshima and the Nazi Deathcamp. So to ease my mind and my investment in collecting Logan's appearances, it would personally satisfy me as a fan if a little light was shed on the subject. Versus the unnecessary adding of putting more unneeded events on Logan's time in WW2. At this rate they'll continue to make it more complicated and say that Logan was there with Hitler committed suicide and add in other absurd Historical events that seem more impossible. Not because it serves Logan story wise, but because it's a famous moment of real life history.

After awhile it becomes more unbelievable, but they may keep complicating things because most fans might not bother to keep track of these events. And if that is true (which I hope it isn't.) then they'll continue to do this because it sells books. I don't buy the fact that Logan was at the wrong place at the wrong time with Hiroshima. After being poisoned in gas chambers at the deathcamp, it would seem more logical that Logan would leave the war if he had the choice. Or perhaps he would continue to fight the Germans alongside Cap, however these scattered appearances reflect someone who was sent on various missions and not someone who is fighting for himself.

All and all I know we'll never get a explanation because that would be hell for any writer. But I do hope they stop adding in more major revelations to his WW2 life. It's just becoming silly now.

What I meant was that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time when the bomb dropped. He had to be there on a mission because he was taken captive, but the bomb was a wrench in the works. It was an unexpected anomaly.

Of course it could be said that Wolvie's handlers, whoever they are, wanted to stress test his healing factor and see just how powerful it was by putting him in the line of fire for the biggest weapon they had on hand.

Or they had decided he was too powerful a weapon to keep around in peace time and wanted him out of the game permanently. Any weapon can be turned against it's handlers and especially if he was serving a bunch of different groups, one of them might have decided to get rid of Logan at the end of the war. Dropping an A-bomb on him would be a pretty sure way to kill anything. Just so happens it did not work. Note there was another super human there at the same time. Two birds one bomb?

Not a bad theory. Very plausible indeed.
