Why do you think Brian Michale Bendis sucks? Why do you think the old stuff was better or that the new stuff is just weak? Please give specific details and prepare to explain yourself. Simply posting "lol this stuff suxzors" will get your comment deleted.

However we are very interested in hearing what you have to say and we want to know why you see this book as a disappointment.

My few regrets about Bendis is, he works to hard and frankly dives into charectures he probebly never read about before.
I heard from many people that Doctor strange Bendis writes isn't Doctor Strange.
They miss the humour and magic of the Doctor that Bendis simply cant provide.
And tbh i have to agree, Bendis shouldn't write the Sorcerer Supreme or make Clint Barton a sex god.
My other complaint is him dissolving the original Avengers by making Wanda go ape sh*t on everyone for no real reason since she allready got over the loss of her children quite some time when Bendis made her go snap.

i also heard complaints on Daken and Venom as being off charecture.

To be honest he hasn't done anything with Daken and I know that character pretty well. But I wouldn't know how changes to Doctor Strange, you are probably right about that one.

This isn't really a 'thumbs down' since I haven't been buying the book since before it hit double figures but I've kinda been keeping up by reading previews and summaries. I'm quite disapointed in the apparent lack of interaction between Spider-Man and Wolverine after Bendis wrote their Ultimate counterparts so well together in 'Blockbuster'.

I do think Bendis is very bad with characters in general. He writes people as he wants and it ignores what has come before. He turns some very deep personalities into one note, one dimensional archtypes. I find myself shaking my head a lot and I don't follow the Avengers or Spider-Man.

For me, he gets the Spidey personailty done quite well, but he allways shows Peter as a happy go lucky guy, even when his aunt was dying Pre-OMD.
Hell i never thought i would say it but Jeph Loeb's Death of Captain America showed a better Spidey then Bendis does.

Also he makes Wolverine a allways hungry jerk who doesn't give a sh*t about rules or respect to his team mates. I know the Wolverine other writers do wont make Wolverine push Wong away to get some food and compeltely screw the rules or comment on his manhood growing back larger after he got shot by the Hood.

I do have to admit he did a good Logan shortly after they foud out Elektra was a skrull, but that's where it stops for me.

Aw. I loved Logan's little hungry / food binge. I mean he does at least mention that Logan isn't "always" there for the New Avengers. (despite him appearing in a lot of issues) So the small attempt to show Logan isn't there off camera is kinda of cool for a completest like me.

Well that is why i said one note. Spider-Man is a quipster. Wolverine is a grouch. Cage is from the streets. Doc Strange is a mystic. They are those things sure but plenty more too. Now admittedly he has done a lot for Cage with the father and leader thing. He seems most comfortable with that character. But if you look at the dialogue he still reverts to the 'Don't give me no lip' stuff.

LMAO . I agree, I guess I am just too laid back to let it bother me.

You probably didn't like Logan being portrayed as a "Thug" in Whedon's Astonishing huh? But in all do respect at least Bendis nailed down Logan's Japanese roots in New Avengers. Remember how they did that spell to show everyone's inner nature? It really made me happy to see a samurai emerge from Logan's soul.

It's was one of the few moments that put a smile on my face.

i agree with you there Gabe, i enjoyed Logan's other charecture-istics other then the food binging.
And he also comments on Logan's ability to track down anyone in less hen 9 hours like our pal Jason aaron said.

Spider-man and his banter, i completely understand and enjoy in every issue, but come on, give him more depth, you write Ultimate Spider-man for crying out loud....

I allready gave my oppinion on Doc strange, but Luke Cage, well, he got me into him. He's a very nice and intense charecture i want to know about.
