Even though Mystique is manipulating and evil, I still think Logan and Mystique made a cute couple. Only for the fact that she genuinely seemed to love him in the House of M story. (And that episode in Wolverine and The X-Men was kind of sweet.) So how to you feel about these two together? Spoiler: click to toggle

I've been a fan of this coupling for a while now. It was actually not long before the House of M storyline that I thought to myself, hey, these two have a lot in common. Dark pasts, long lifespans, more than a few interactions over the years and connections to characters like Sabretooth. If Mystique could shape up a bit, they could make an interesting on/off couple. Of course, this was back after her ongoing series where she worked for Xavier, and she had just briefly became an X-Man of sorts only to quickly turn around and betray the team once more no long after. But that hadn't occurred yet. Then the House of M storyline, the Get Mystique arc, that episode of Wolverine and the X-Men and her inclusion in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine video game only served to cement my opinion that they'd make an interesting pairing. |

I'm just waiting for the big revelation that Logan is Nightcrawler's real father. |

You know what? That's not bad at all. Not bad at all. I almost wish that were the case, or at the very least have it be that way in an alternate continuity. As it stands I don't think we'll see that happen. The whole "his father is a demon plotline" wasn't really a great one. It wasn't the concept, that was fine, it makes sense. It was the execution. But since then they've really played up that element of the character. The Nightcrawler ongoing series was all about him embracing the mystical side of his heritage, as was the recent one-shot. Also, they stated that whenever he teleports, the reason it smells like sulfer is because he ports directly through the Hell dimension his father resides in. It's hard to explain that all away. |

I don't really see this as much different then Logan/Domino in the on again off again kind of way. Doesn't really add anything new for me personally though if I had to chose I would have picked Mystique rather than Domino. I like Mysti better as a character |

I think that they do work as a pair (even if she's sabretooth's ex), and if Mystique cleaned up her act, they'd be a great couple. She is also the lover he's being with most likely to survive (wolverine's track record in that department isn't great). |

Alternate continuity could be fine, but I wouldn't want to mess with their relationship in 616. It would just ruin the dynamics of their friendship. But with the current trend of everything being connected, I wouldn't lift an eyebrow if it happened. And The Draco...good Lord was that bad. I don't really care much at this point who's Kurt's father and I just wish we could all move on from that disaster. I just want Kurt to get some decent focus for once. Unfortunately, that's not happening. Sigh. |

TBH i like Nightcrawler being a demon thing, gives it more of a reason why Kurt wants to be a man of god. |

I thought it was reason enough that he looked like one. That he sought comfort and stability in the belief that there is someone out there who knows him inside and out, and that, perhaps, there is a point to him being there. That he's not just a freak accident. Kurt's never shown any demonic qualities or powers - he's always been as human as they get. His appearance was just cruel irony. |
