No problem. A lord is a heritary title, where as a gentleman just has money (and a little breeding). Probably if the family had been in Britain they would have been lords, but in the colonies...;) The principe is still good. |

One of notmanos's stories that features some flashbacks of Logan after his escape from Weapon X and his return to humanity was actually the inspiration for my current project TMOP" I would really love to read this particular story, and would appreciate it very much if you could get a reformatted version to me. I have tried to get into notmanos' stories, and forced my way through the Mariko one. I say "forced" not because I didn't think it was great, but because the formatting of the piece at ff.net left chunks out of sentences, and the whole thing was such a pain to read. Constantly reading over the dropped sections disrupted the flow of the story completely. I've tried the Buffy-verse stuff, but it just didn't gel with me...I found myself racing through the other characters to read what her Logan was saying/doing. I simply didn't get into the other characters, but that's just me. They just didn't grab me. I can certainly understand, though, how one can become "addicted" to a particular writer.....hhhmmmmmnnn! ...and I mean no disrespect to notmanos' considerable talents! I would love to see the passages in notmanos' work which directly inspired yours on TMOP. Thank you. |

I'll send it to you sometime within the next few days. It's been super-busy for me over here, and embarrassingly . . . I can't remember which story featured those particular flashbacks. I'll have to do some rereading to find out. edit: Never mind, I found it. I happened to remember a specific scene about orange juice and just ended up opening one of Notmanos's stories after another, searching "orange juice." Fortunately the drink only is mentioned a handful of times, so I found the story pretty quick after that: story #25: Retrospect. It's been forever since I've read it, but I just remember being fascinated by Wolverine's interaction with people for the first time after his escape. The rest, as they say, is history. I'll be sending it through your normal email in just a minute. Just do be aware--I was originally editing these for my little sister, so a lot (if not all) of the swear words have been replaced by sometimes out-of-character replacements. There was also a flashback story about team X that was pretty interesting, but I haven't gotten around to editing it yet. Would you want that one too, once I read through it?
