New York City, 1937. Private detective Jim Logan’s
partner, Dog, is missing…and Logan’s determined to find him, even if he has to spread a trail of blood and broken hearts across the Bowery. But chances of finding Dog alive aren’t
looking good as all signs point to a dangerous gangster called Creed…who might just be too much for one down-and-out P.I. to handle.
Parental Advisory …$3.99

Who liked the first issue? Are you looking forward to the next one?

I was not impressed with the first issue. Too much back story and I have never really been a fan of 30s detective stories in general. I liked X-Men: Noir more.

Oh wow. I was the opposite, I could not understand anything that was going on during X-Men Noir. I felt that they relied too much on you already knowing who these characters represented in the X-Men universe. And since I only recently started reading the back issues, I was struggling to keep up with what was going on. I think DiG said it best though, X-Men Noir was much more easy to comprehend when all the issues were read as a whole.

As for Wolverine Noir I had a blast reading it. At least the first issue anyways.

Not a bad issue at all, I'm relieved that Dog and Sabretooth aren't the same person. That was my only big fear for the series, that they would do something stupid like that.

Personally the ending of this issue left me wanting more.

Still not a fan of the series. Has some interesting bit but over all my reaction is 'meh'.

I think this is the same Logan from X-Men Noir. I'm not entirely sure since I don't know much about the 1930's in America.

The Noir stories don't have supernatural powers, so this Logan uses knivies and daggers. Which is one reason I'm so attached to the story, because they show him training with Smitty. And they also go into the Dog / Rose / Logan love triangle a bit. The second issue introduced Creed who owns a Boxing Gym, and also introduced Yukio. I think this story would be a million times better if it was longer and the books were thicker. But in the end I'm a sucker for any remake of the classic story told in Origin.

Really? In X-Men Noir they all use guns and basically is real world explanations for everything. I didn't see a single optic blast or telepathic ability in the entire series. (Even though I can't remember the exact plot for the life of me.)

I am interested in reading Spiderman Noir though

Spider-man got bitten by a 'cursed' spider, thus his powers are Magical in nature.
