He may not be Ace Ventura: Pet Dective, but Logan sure knows how to communicate and calm even the most savage of beasts. This is never fully explained how, but it does manage to show us a softer side of Logan's character. Perhaps this is because Logan has spent more time taming the savage side of his own dark nature, that he has no problem calming the beast inside other animals? Just a random theory of mine.

I love that last pannel! That big tabby must be so soft ![]()
I think it`s that combined with the fact that Logan treats beasts with the proper respect; he doesn`t look at them like they`re "dumb animals" and thus he doesn`t mistreat them or make them nervous. Also, he`s entirely capable of taking down any big predator out there and animals have a very accurate grasp of an opponent`s potential; thus, they`re less likely to attack him and more likely to "listen" to him. |

I've always assumed it was a predator dominance thing same as you can do to big dogs if you really aren't afraid of them. Probably from his time as a kid with the wolves, Once you establish dominance they generally roll over for you it's just the way of the animal world. Note, this only works with predator type animals. H can walk up and touch a deer being stealthy but the creature won't hang around once it knows he's there. He comes across as a predator. |

He was also pretty much feral in Mutant X along with Sabes. |

I always liked Wolvie's statement that Man is an animal, but most other animals would not take that as a compliment. It illustrates what a low opinion he has for humanity sometimes. |

Keep in mind he has lived as an animal at least twice. Once right after Orgins when he went to live in the woods with the wolves and secondly after the Weapon X experiment. And after every major trauma he retreats to the woods to live with animals and commune with nature. |
