Well everyone in Marvel knows each other somehow. Note that Professor X met Ororo has a kid in Cairo (Amazing just how many people went to Cairo 20 + years ago). But romance? Nope. She's had several boyfriends/lovers/etc if she was so in love with the Panther that would not have happened. THey invented a backstory romance just to make it viable and it was still idiotic. |

If it adds to the main story I don't mind but if a romance is thrown in there and does nothing to help the story I'm against it. Ask yourselves what would logan do differently if they were involved in a relationship. If the answer is nothing then what's the point of having it? I have not read many of these ultimate comics as I tried to read a few of the first issues and that put me off for life. Seriously making Colossus a Russian mafia gang lord is beyond stupid in my opinion.

Ororo and Panther were put together to try and further tie the Avenger and X-Men worlds together. If they had simply started it as a romance from where she was at that point (do a limited with them teaming up to stop a threat and start a relationship), I wouldn't have minded. Instead they made it so that Storm and Panther met when she was in Africa as a teenager and they fell in love then. Which adds nothing and makes both of their relationships from that point on (so all of them) pretty much worthless. |
