Yep. We just don't know if It's one alternate reality crossing over to another alternate reality. Or if it's something much more complicated that isn't worth explaining. |

From the various alt futures, it appears that sometime over the next 50 years Logan's hair will gray, and sometime in the next 200-250 years he will eventually die of old age. The Hooded Man being excluded due to the increased life-lengthening technology of his timeline, as indicated by Susan Richards and Johnny Storm being alive 500 years in the future. (Turns out Reed Richards wasn't useless after all.) It also seems that his age-retarding factor is tied at least some to his will to live; in timelines where he's broken and given up, he seems to have aged faster. It's possible that he could have lived 500 years to be the Hooded Man just on pure drive. |

maybe it's possible that the mutant healing factor sort of works like a muscle? that's how i think about it anyway..the more he utilizes it the stronger it gets..and when it isn't used a lot it starts to detiriorate. it could explain why in such futures such as old man logan (he became a pacifist) and DoFP (he had to stop using his powers in order to hide from the sentinels) he aged considerably well. and once he starts to use it regularly again it becomes stronger and through active use it could return him to his peak form..which is why he looks younger as the hooded man.. |

We do know that the more he's hurt, the faster he heals. His body simply has to speed up in order to counter the injury. Nothing says the reverse isn't true. If he's never really hurt, then the healing factor could slow down to next to nothing. |
