This is where Deadpool made a name for himself after he joined and acquired a cure for his cancer. (Wolverine's healing factor) He was released after his healing factor started to fail him, sent to a place called the Hospice where he had his heart ripped out by the Attending. I'm assuming this is where Logan and Wade first met? I haven't read anything that denies or suggests this theory. But one can only assume. I always get Department K mixed up with Department H. Logan did work for Department K right? I'm assuming after he went through the Weapon X project? Can anyone help me fill in the blanks here? |

James MacDonald Hudson is flying about as Weapon Alpha or Vindicator when Wade joins hoping to get a cure for his cancer. I'm working purely from memory here, but didn't Mac building the battle suit happen after Wolverine left Department H? If not, I guess that's the most obvious way they could have met. Yes I'm pretty sure that James Hudson did not done his suit until after Wolverine left. He had the suit and rescuing it was one of Wolverine's missions I believe. But he was the inventor not the pilot until later. |

Marvel's Weapon X Files comic book says they also met at Department H after he became a mercenary... Which doesn't make much sense to me either. Did Logan work for Department H on and off again while he was a member of the X-Men? |

This could be quite easily cleared up then - did you know Wade was a mercenary before he contracted cancer? No, Logan left to get from under the Government's red tape and would not have been partcipating in missions for Dept. H - that's why Mac and the rest of Alpha Flight were sent to go get him. |

Hmm. Well the book says he joined Department K because they promised him a healing factor. (Because of the Cancer) Reading that piece of information I assume they got Logan's DNA from his days spent with Team X.... (Though I can be mistaken) I'm definitely positive this is where Marvel places the events, since he went to Canada and found Department K after breaking up with Vanessa.  Then it skips waaaaay ahead to after he becomes Deadpool and destroys the Hospice. It mentions that he worked for Wilson Fisk and Hammerhead. Then right after that it says he clashed with Logan as a spy for Canada's Department H. (Neither of them aware of the bond they shared regarding the Healing Factors.) So this changes our theories huh? |

In the Alpha Flight Flashback issue from 1997 it shows Mac Hudson in the old prototype Weapon Alpha armor fighting alongside Logan. |

Is there any specific difference between Department K and Department H? Or are they basically the same exact thing? |

Department H is the offical Mutant Department. Department K is more secretive, more likely to be linked to Weapon X and may possibly be the Organisation Logan works for In Shadow Society. |
