(seeing him fight the poor critter made think of "Kung Fu Panda" all of a sudden)

Well they basically cut out most of the outer space stuff and tried to keep the tales all told on Earth. (Like Mojo being a human and Arcade being a kid.) But it's always been fantastically bizarre, even with the Proteus stuff in the very beginning.

They have tried to limit the scope but recently it has gotten weirder. I expect that is part of the reason they are doing their reboot. Narrow the focus back down some and remove extra characters.
