Now we know what happened fifty years ago, the day the super heroes were slaughtered. We know how Logan managed to survived. We know why WOLVERINE didn’t. But that’s nothing compared to what happens next, as Logan and Hawkeye reach New Babylon to deliver their mysterious cargo. But before they get there—they’ll have to face their toughest challenge to date: a Venom Tyrannosaurus Rex! MARK MILLAR and STEVE MCNIVEN continue the career-defining epic that will have fans talking for years to come!

To be fair I think this issue is more then "Giant T-Rex LOLZ". If I remember correctly the alien symbiote has been following Logan and Hawkeye since issue one. So my gut feeling is that this will be cooler then it actually sounds.

I would like to hear comments from everyone on this. Please post what you think should happen and how you feel about these last few unreleased issues. Do you wish this series would continue a little longer? Or are you tired of it already?

I think this is one of those titles that does better read back to back. Reading it once every two months doesn't do it justice.

I just hope the Old Man Logan storyline is being well-received. Not because I'm a Millar fan, and not because I have some sort of attachment to the story. No, it's because this is Wolverine at his most honorable. Not only is he not killing people, he's not fighting at all. Those fans out there who want to see Logan once more become the honorable samurai some day (of which there are many, myself included)... well, this is the next best thing until that happens.

You know what? I never thought of it like that. Thanks for showing me that angle of perspective. You really thought that through huh? Yeah. I completely agree with you on that point.

I'm a big Millar fan, in fact i got into Wolveirne because of the last 2 issues of his Agent of SHIELD arc.
I really hope he makes something special out of this book, but right now it's sort of long winded.

This is the issue that's guaranteed to move the concept forward, which is likely why so many people enjoyed it. Old Man Logan is a slow burn concept. It was always meant to move at a very gradual pace, and to some readers that can seem tedious and long winded. Gorvar himself said as much, and it's true. Your capacity for enjoyment of this title hinges on your level of tolerance for slower-paced tale. This was the issue that changes that. Whether you were enjoying the gradual pace or not, it just got kicked into high gear.

My mini-review is live: 'Wolverine' #71 and 'Wolverine: Origins' #34 Reviews. In part, I write...

Now we’re talking!

This is, by far, the best issue to date.

It may still be a travelogue through Mark Millar’s Marvel Universe of the future, but at least this time around, the travelogue remains firmly and effectively in the background.

And the plot actually starts going somewhere.

As has been said before, I have a hunch the trade paperback is going to read much smoother and ultimately much better than this issue by delayed issue publishing schedule.
