Plus, how can the Avengers trust Spider-Man if he won't take his mask off? In case you managed to miss Issue 50, I have to say that it was a fantastic milestone in the history of the New Avengers. I loved every moment of it and I especially love the battle royal at the end. I somehow missed DiG's review of the comic, but I have to say this series is shaping up fantastically. Issue #51 is around the corner and I can't wait to check it out. It seems things are getting worse for Spider-Man and it's about time! I mean it was killing me that they weren't concerned with his secret identity. Though I can't blame Bendis since it isn't his fault Spider Man's canon was altered so quickly. But I hope they touch upon it more then briefly, since I'm more interested in this then Dr. Strange. Also is anyone looking forward to the issue where Spider Man goes to confront Norman Osborn? I forgot what issue it is going to happen in, I think I read about it in the May Previews.

Only Bendis can have a bunch of heroes sitting around eating lunch and have it be the most fascinating scene in the entire book. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the entire issue and every single part of it. I can't wait for the next one.

Spoiler: click to toggle I'm very surprised they did the first reveal of Spider-Man's identity post-OMD/BND in New Avengers and not in Amazing Spider-Man. That was a genuine surprise. As always, Bendis handled that sort of scene masterfully. In addition he also did the scene I've been waiting for since New Avengers began... Jessica Jones telling Peter Parker about her crush on him during high school. Again, everything I was hoping for and more. Edited by Ace, Mar 27 2009, 04:03 PM.
