Yeah. This is newbie friendly forums and I just about check everywhere once a week. Every question on here is eventually answered by DiG or myself. Don't worry about posting something that is on your mind. As you can see, even I post a ton of questions when I am online. And I am the first member of the forums. |

Indeed, PDA. It's as DiG said, I'm always happy to help if I can! And remember, we were all new to and behind on comics at one point in our lives. It's perfectly natural and acceptable to be overwhelmed by back issue continuity, tonal changes in the medium, and to have questions on the subjects that go along with those issues. |

Aw, jeez, fellers...(sniff, sniff). All of you are terrific, and even if I haven't always replied or chimed in on every topic with my uninformed opinions or off-kilter observations, just reading the myriad discussions has been enlightening and has helped re-form some of those opinions and observations. Your unabashed willingness to help on some pretty obscure events in long-forgotten books is near-heroic in itself. Thank you for your responses and encouragement. It's not that I cannot handle or do not want to acknowledge the darker aspects of Logan's character, and only want lighthearted, adventure stories and wisecracks. I don't want to read just pleasant "funny books." Those dark, grittier parts of him create the inner conflict which has drawn me to the character in the first place. A conflicted character is more interesting and durable than one that's only either good or bad, of course. I was just getting all depressed and upset that he seems to currently be painted as just a tool used by evil forces for their purposes, and upon discovering that, he turns his back on any former notion he once had of striving to become a better man. To me, that would destroy the character...and I found that crushingly sad. Hence, my ensuing "blue devils," and the pitty party funk. As has been pointed out, however, few of these story lines last forever, and in time they may be forgotten to the point where they're not even referenced. However, it does seem that 5 years and 33+ issues is a long time for "Origins" to start getting better. Thank you for your help, encouragement, patience, and kind words. I'm feeling much better now...maybe I'll go reread Claremont/Miller tonight... I'm member #13 - not so unlucky after all to have found this site and met you folks. |

In issue #40, what caused the explosion on Muramasa's mountain? |

From Ace: "It's not a particularly well-crafted story...." Since the explosion is on Muramasa's mountain, and he may be manipulating Logan into failing this "celebration dance ritual," I am guessing that Muramasa set this explosion on purpose with the expectation that Logan would instinctively pop his claws and lose his honor with Itsu and the people of Jasmine Falls. That's just my guess. There was so much else that was incomprehensible to me that I didn't even think about the explosion. |
