I am of two minds on this issue.

There is one wonderful revelation. Genuinely wonderful revelation.

But it gets obscured, at least for me, by some serious chronological confusion that I will do my level best to chronicle.

In other words, SPOILER ALERT, WILL ROBINSON, SPOILER ALERT!

Spoiler: click to toggle

Looking forward to seeing what everyone else thought.

But as always, please try to keep it civil...

But I must give Daniel Way credit. The concept of imbuing Daken's claws with metal from the Muramasa Blade is pretty awesome. And would make him the deadliest threat Wolverine has seen in a long time.
Wouldn't the Murumasa negate Daken's healing factor or am I missing something?

Truit/Thornton is probably the oldest of the three and probably James Hudson's elder by two decades. Just my opinion but I pray to god that Sabretooth is not Victor Hudson.

edit: Truit/Thronton being 20 years older than JMH does'nt fit at all. Man this is confusing.

Not having read the issues, I don't honestly now if this is of any use whatsoever. Although it probably won't, perhaps this quote from Daniel Way will be of some use to you chronology-wise:

Daniel Way

And yes, the Weapon X series of experiments conducted on Wolverine took place sometime between the mid- to late-fifties and the late sixties, “Marvel time.”

Going by the info in DiG's review, that would have to mean he was around ten when he fathered Truett.

It is confusing without a doubt. I do get the sense that Way's current timeline is different now than what it was initially.

You can see bits and pieces of that with the events of Jasmine Falls happening before WWII then being moved to after WWII.

And Frederick Hudson running his camp for 47 years suggests to me that the Daken events were supposed to have happened much earlier.

A little voice inside me wonders if Way got WWI and WWII mixed up.

Hudson secretary Caitlyn MacDonald, however, is the revelation that causes the biggest confusion. From earlier issues in the series, it is revealed that Frederick Hudson ran the Canadian paramilitary camp from at least 1912 until approximately 1959, a staggering 47 years. And at the end of this run (as shown in 'Wolverine: Origins' #27), Frederick Hudson is virile enough to impregnate his secretary...
About that point, maybe Frederick Hudson did impregnate his secretary before 1959, years before. That could fix the problem with the age of Frederic Hudson II sons.

But first of all, I must say this is the best issue of Wolverine - Origins, and I will surprise some people here, I liked, too. That's the the first time it happens with the series. But I must say, the only thing I didn't like was making Weapon X around Romulus only, as it was revealed that Weapon X was not the creators of Logan as Weapon but it was Romulus who did it creating Weapon X.

Ah! Many people wondered who may be Victor Hudson? Maybe it coul be.... Wild Child... I must say, I don't know too much about him, except he was born in Great Britain.

And DiG, I must say a big thank you for posting the facts revealed in this issue, there were some bits where I wasn't sure to understand completely the situation:

-Nick Fury suggests that the reason the Canadian government allowed Logan to work for the CIA was because the U.S. government knew about Weapon X and blackmailed the Canadian government into using Logan. But the accompanying visual shows Logan as part of Team X -- BEFORE he received his adamantium at Weapon X...

It couldn't be clearer than that.

I'd like to add that if Victor Hudson is Wild Child, this would be much better than the Loeb's crap Evolution arc in Wolverine 50-55. This will reject the stupid lupine theory and balck hair clan vs blond hair clan if Wild Child and Logan are related.

And for last, after reading the issue a second time, I realized (and it astonishes me) to know that Cyclops is ready to kill Logan it he must (assuming he kills Daken and Logan goes after Cyclops).

Wow. I just sat down and read through this issue . . . a few times through, and to tell tell you the truth, I don't think I've faced anything this big in a Wolverine comic since he got his memory back.

I need to see how and where this is going, but so far I'd have to agree--this is the strongest "Origins" so far. And maybe just because it felt so massive, but I felt like it's the beginnning of one of the best Wolverine stories for a while.

And the next one doesn't come out until mid-March!?

WHY!?

Yeah. Scott being so ready to go Slayer left me with a sour taste in my mouth. He's kinda gotten "Secret Team: Kill First, Ask Questions Later" recently. I'm not sure how I like it. After all the time that he's been on a team with Logan . . . meh. It just seems cold.
