http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Logan http://www.comicvine.com/thomas-logan/29-44323/ Even though Thomas is a jerk and it isn't listed in the offical handbook yet, I hope to god they just come out and say Thomas is his real father. At least have the balls you know? So any opinions? |

Link: http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Thomas_Logan The article says: There is much debate as to whether or not he is in fact James Howlett's biological father. This is hinted towards in the Origins series, with the fact that the adult James Howlett looks exactly like Thomas Logan. However, a strong physical resemblance doesn't prove paternity. In all of Wolverine's profile entries in the various Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe one-shot issues since the release of the Origins series, John Howlett, Jr. is listed his father, not Thomas Logan. Do you agree that he is his father ? Or do you think he is not the father of Wolverine? |

I want Thomas Logan to be Wolverine's father. I hope the writers at Marvel will stop messing around and confirm this. I think they went a long to in doing so with Wolverine: The End. But still, many sources site John Howlett as Wolverine's father. I hate the name Howlett because it is so corny. HOWL LIKE WOLF Paul Jenkins! I believe Logan blood runs though Wolverine's veins, not Howlett blood. |

I think Thomas Logan is the biological father, but in terms of teaching Logan how to be a person the credit goes to John Howlett. |

I just wish Marvel would confirm this and make it cannon. For instance, in Wolverine: Inside the Living Weapon hardcover under five things you should know about Wolverine... "1. Wolverine's real name is James Howlett, NOT Logan, which was an alias he adopted after fleeing his family home. Thomas Logan was the groundskeeper on the Howlett estate in Alberta, Canada." It always bugged me too that Rose would tell Smity that Wolvie's name is Logan, considering the fact that she and little James were trying to lay low and separate themselves from the violent situation they just fled. That is unless she knew that Thomas Logan was James' father and not John Howlett. |

Yea, Rose's choosing of the Logan name was really weird. I do agree that Howlett name is kind of obvious and sounds too much like howl. On the other hand I like the John character, basically because from what little we see of him shows that he is a good person. |

I think they will in the Wolverine in hell arc. Its clearly Thomas Logan talking to Puck. In the preview for issue 4 there is a flashback of Logan killing Thomas and they (Thomas and the mystery guy are wearing the same clothing. edit. Looked at the page again and it is confirmed in the preview. Logan states that the man he thought was his father wasn't and the man that was was the first person he ever killed. It was always pretty obvious considering they made Thomas look just like the adult Logan. |
