Definitely hit on the main points. Reading that big ol' list makes me perturbed for my favorite character. I own the TPB where Deadpool and Wolverine face-off. At the end is the issue where it goes into Logan being involved with experiments on innocents and killing children. I literally have stapled those pages together. They do not exist in my mind, and I refuse to accept them. There is *nothing* we have seen before Origins that Logan was such a cold-blooded killer. He's a hot-blooded killer, not a mindless soldier. One of his big traits is that he is *impossible* to control, even given complete brainwashing and memory wipes. I don't care who Romulus is--you can't rewrite a character like that and expect me to accept it. |

To me, this series looks like a hot air balloon; it had the potential to get high, but sadly it did so on hot air only...the vibe that it`s going to *gasp* unfold Logan`s untold past drew lots of readers in, but the way the story was handled leaves much to be desired... It all revolved around massive killings and then angsting over them. Big whoop.... I don`t mean to sound too harsh here, but they could have done something more creative than write another story about Logan killing people and then feeling sorry about it... Even Daken could have been an interesting addition, if he wasn`t an evil Wolvie copy. Which gives me an idea for a thread... |

Well, that's it. Danny Way hates Wolverine. I understand that now. |

He's lazy and a generally bad writer in most things. No clue if he hated the character or just didn't want to bother making an effort and doing some actual research into the character and title. Either way the result is the same. |

Daken makes me want to puke. I hope Erista kills him. |

I doubt we'll ever see Savage Land boy again. They had the possibility to do it and decided it was simply too obscure to work. |

here's a thumbs down for wolverine origins. i've been re reading it again and i can honestly say that the most enjoyable story arc i've read is probably wolverine vs. deadpool (which isn't saying much)..worst thing about it is that there was no point in doing that at all. |

That was yours truly, from March 31st of '09, earlier in this thread. Now, quoting Frank "The Punisher" Castle, from the current issue FRANKEN-CASTLE #19... after using an industrial gasoline powered concrete chop saw (Yep, the same kind of platform mounted saws that the highway repair crews use to cut out large strips of the road) to ventilate most of Daken's sternum and rib cage, Frankie ponders about the mysteries of his dying enemies various near death experiences. "Ouch. Life flashing before your eyes, right? All your joy, all your regrets... things you'd do different if you had the chance. Bet you wish you could go back to 1995 and tell yourself not to get that idiot tattoo." FA SHOTGUN... 1 DAKEN... 0 I'm telling you guys... this particular issue is a must have. It's worth every penny. |

yes it is, i also enjoyed it when he fell down the pit of sharp metal things. it's probably the first time i hated seeing wolverine pop up and "save" the day. |

Maybe I will have to buy it then. Watching Daken get taken apart would definitely be worth reading. |
