hi every one. I am Temp and I am a huge, huge, huge (did I say huge) Wolverine and X-Men fan. But in an all around way I love all comics. For anyone that is interested I run the Marvel Essentials/DC Showcases yahoo.group. I am very anxious to discuss Wolverine and add to to the Chronology and files in anyway that i can. I am composing a massive X-Men Chronology of my own for fun and have found this site invaluable. Keep up the good work Dig.

Awesome... I would love to see it.

Have you looked at the Marvel Chronology Project or the Official Marvel Index to the X-Men (vol. 2)?

Yeah I have. I am a member over there. A fe people over there are helping me iron out a few things. I am just not a fast typist and i get side tracked quite a bit. My starting point that everything branches off of is 1963. In my chronology that is year one. Actually I refer to your chronology quite a bit for the Wolvie stuff, so I hope that you do not mind too much? If it ever becomes anything of any worth I will give you full credit as a major major resource. It is actually on a yahoo group at present. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Chronology-X/ if you are interested. The only thing that confuses me with your chronology is the lack of hard chronological dates for each reference. I know that you do the best that you can and other than the lack of dates your chronology is wonderful.

I don't mind at all!

As for hard dates... I used to have them when I worked on this many, many years ago... but this concept of Marvel time (that the Marvel Universe is only 8 years old or so) is frustrating.

As a result, you have storiess that took place in the chronology during the Team X years, for instance, that cite the 1950s and late 1960s... sometimes even the 1970s...

So while I like to place the events of Fantastic Four #1 in 1961, current Marvel continuity suggests they happened much more recently.

So the only way for me to maintain my sanity is to ignore the year as we move past World War II.

Marvel Chronology Project

Terrific website that attempts to list chronological appearances for every character in the Marvel Universe.
